Even though the Eagles just dismantled the Giants, the Giants were beat up and will likely be playing for their postseason lives week 18. A desperate team is no gimme.

Stranger things have certainly happened in the NFL. A lot can change in a month in a week to week league.
If bears can run on Philly and get some turnovers they have a chance

I have a feeling Philly will slip to make it interesting. We just have to concentrate on taking care of business and applying pressure. They play the games for a reason. I distinctly remember SF losing late in the season to an inferior team (ATL back when they were in the same division) giving up the #1 seed (perhaps 93-94 season).

We're not winning the division. It's not even worth pondering.

At this point, the team needs to focus on making the playoffs at all.

Lol. It's virtually impossible the Cowboys do NOT make the playoffs.

Pay attention.

Think the Titan game might be the easiest as they have gotten blown out in back to back weeks. Agree, this week will be difficult, but it is a game we should win, the entire division beat them.
The entire division beat Green Bay but…

We're 10-3 and almost sure to make the playoffs. But the injuries and fatigue are piling up. Without a 100% first half of the season Micah, we have no chance. I think he's the key the season and he's been very pedestrian for a few weeks. I'm hoping he has the bug that's been going around and hasn't hit the wall from playing in the trenches so much.

Am I grasping here or if we beat the jags and the Eagles lose to the Bears would we be playing for first place in the division on Christmas Eve.

My thoughts are if we would win on Christmas Eve we would have first place in division by way of the Eagles having lost to two teams in their division if that is the proper tiebreaker.

Sorry but I actually think we drop this one.

They are playing well right now and I expect it to continue. It’ll be a good close game, but like Jacksonville at home.

We also don’t match up well with Tennessee, and Washington may need that last game to get in.

The other game is the toughest one. Hell at this point I think we are a pretty damn good team, but may a have trouble holding on to the five seed.

Very odd year. This type of season typically wins you the NFC East. Sucks actually.

Three of last four on road vs good teams, then probably all the playoffs on the road. At least they aren’t a bad road team, but that’s a tall order.
Agree. That would be 6 of 7 games on the road to reach the Super Bowl. Not sure that's ever been done. I would bet no.

Kind of like Green Bay?

Precisely how I feel. Even if we somehow manage to nab the lead in the division, I don’t see Dallas winning out

That scenario should play out, since that's how this team always does us.

We take the lead in the division on Christmas eve, only to drop a game later and give it back. Lol

Dallas' magic number is 1 I believe. 1 loss by Seattle or win by Dallas clinches the playoffs for the Cowboys. Dallas has head to head vs Detroit and no one else can catch them. There might be some convoluted scenario where a multi team tie for last wild card goes to other teams but going through all of the permutations is a waste of time. If Dallas wins 1 game, they are in the playoffs.

The most likely scenario for the Cowboys in post season is a WC trip to Tampa. This is a good draw for the Cowboys and they should be able to handle the now sub 500 Bucs.
