The Drew Henson Experiment

I chose the first one, but I think I should point out - that doesn't mean I'm completely sold. He has good points and bad point. I am impressed with some of the things he has done in Europe.

I have always felt the exact same way about him - he should ride the bench for 3 years before we make any decision on him. After this season, I want to start to see if we can get dividends off him.

Until then, I don't think we will know a damn thing.

Yep. That said it well enough for me.

Give the guy a chance. He's showing progress in NFL Europe.

It is disloyal to throw him off a cliff just yet.

Give him 2-3 more years, THEN throw him off a cliff ;)

Well I picked throw him off a cliff although cut him would sound a lot better.

I think 1 year maybe 2 is more likely.

throw him off the cliff is a techniacal term for cutting someone

Yeah - I preach patience, and his contract is designed for him to have a learning curve, but 3 years of learning should let us know if he will ever give us anything or not.

He doesn't even know how to wear a chinstrap. Sorry, but off the cliff he goes.

I really don't know about Henson...I'm expecting the worst, but hoping for the best!

I think we should "follow his plane" to see where he goes while he's in Germany to really know the truth! :D

I say be patient......with a few games under his belt anf with some good coaching he could surprise a few people.

Nothing lost by letting the guy develop.

I am amazed at the people here who literally root against him and yet still call themselves Cowboy fans.

It's one thing to state, even strongly, that you don't think Henson is gonna make it.

It's another entirely to root against him.

Fact of the matter is, Henson has done nothing but say and do the right things from day one.

I could see being against him if he came to the Cowboys with an attitude like he was owed something or the Second Coming.

He hasn't.

Funny thing is, these same people who are rooting against him, will be rooting for Terrell Owens.

Hi ya Santiago.

If he does well, it won't be a surprise to me.

I don't root against him, but I don't see much in him either. Obviously we never know for sure until he takes snaps in a real NFL game, but I think we can find better development projects in this draft. I know you didn't say it, but I'll just reiterate that voting for the cliff DOES NOT necessarily denote rooting against him.

Not all of us get practice wearing headgear throughout our childhood. ;)

That's because they are crossed eyed! As for me...I'm gonna root for both of them! :)

I think this is a very good approach. I don't necessarily agree with it but it makes good sense to me.

I followed Henson pretty closely in college. I thought he had all the tools then. I still do.

The suprising thing is, he's looking like the game manager that Parcells wants. He hasn't shown alot of flash except for a few plays. But he seems to be managing the games well and not making dumb plays.
