The Cowboys released George Edwards yesterday to the confusion of their own coordinator. The guy they supposedly covet and hand the keys to the defense to.

Well that guy is now coming back and he sure would like to know why one of his assistants isn't there anymore and why he wasn't involved in the decision.

GMs pick coaches. Coaches pick coordinators. Coordinators pick their assistants. Any interference in that is mismanagement and you know who is the cause of it.

Some things will just never change.

So many assumptions…

1) A tweet said someone heard that he was surprised. That’s 3rd hand info that we don’t know is true or not. This is a Rumor
2) We don’t if DQ made that decision or someone else did. This is a Rumor
3) Nobody has ever said they would like him to the the next DC. That’s an opinion by a radio show host. This too a Rumor

This stuff wouldn’t be allowed to be a post in the zone without it being official or without a source but you post it to serve your usual agenda like this, and it’s ok?

If you had created this thread correctly by adding links or pics to support your opening statement, people wouldn't be questioning you. But, since you still doubt and falsely accuse me of backtracking about being okay with George Edwards let go, delve into my posting history throughout the past 2 seasons. You will see I have questioned the decision making concerning our LBs, who and how they are used, plus who has been allowed to start vs who has been made to sit. All due to the results on the field game in and game out.

There. Are you happy? Understand better? Trust me, there is no backtracking concerning me...no matter what your troll friend, Mountaineer, says.

I’m gonna wait and see how this all plays out. Edwards had an expiring contract, the cowboys didn’t fire him.

With DQs status up in the air why would they sign him to a new contract? Now that we know DQ is coming back maybe it opens the door for these defensive assistants to be retained?

I have no idea, but the timing of DQ making a decision is interesting timing with what happened today. I’ll wait a few days to see what else comes out before bashing either side.

1)what’s he supposed to say to the question a day before he turns down a head coaching job “yes…I knew George edwards was a goner”. 2) if letting George edwards go means Quinn can fill the position or have say in filling the position so be it 3) we are so “dysfunctional” one of the most sought after coordinators and head coaching candidates has decided to stay here in a lesser position than a head coach for the 2nd straight year

Quinn was so upset that he decided to stop pursuing HC jobs. Can you imagine how angry he must have been?

Edwards was brought in my McCarthy, as were Davis and Philbin. Certainly not picked by a coordinator
