1)what’s he supposed to say to the question a day before he turns down a head coaching job “yes…I knew George edwards was a goner”. 2) if letting George edwards go means Quinn can fill the position or have say in filling the position so be it 3) we are so “dysfunctional” one of the most sought after coordinators and head coaching candidates has decided to stay here in a lesser position than a head coach for the 2nd straight year

It was pretty much an extra position. "Senior Defensive Assistant" -- he was a glorified assistant linebackers coach.

Keep in mind that the only people Quinn brought in were Durde and Whitt. Expiring contracts give Quinn the opportunity to pursue more of his guys.

Not really seeing what the uproar is all about on this. Was this guy Vince Lombardi reincarnated or something? I can't imagine DQ is really losing sleep over this. I mean he had at least 2 head coaching offers and if it upset him so much surely he would have told the organization to pound sand. If it upset him so much and he cowered and still came back then I think I would lose some respect for him.

That's even worse, what kind of man does that, you have to be one passive aggressive little b to do that
Well...if I was in his position and the employer trying to keep me did that, i wouldn't be going back.

So which is worse?

Amidst the celebration of Quinn returning let me be the one to remind you of what just happened.

The Cowboys released George Edwards yesterday to the confusion of their own coordinator. The guy they supposedly covet and hand the keys to the defense to.

Well that guy is now coming back and he sure would like to know why one of his assistants isn't there anymore and why he wasn't involved in the decision.

GMs pick coaches. Coaches pick coordinators. Coordinators pick their assistants. Any interference in that is mismanagement and you know who is the cause of it.

Some things will just never change.
Jerry doing Jerry things.

General managers around the league do this all the time. You have your utopian ideal of how it is supposed to be and then you have the reality of the NFL.

You gave us no chance this year. I don't know what you have to complain about. Jerry clearly outperformed your expectations.

Didn’t his contract expire. so he really wasn’t fired. And if he was fired. What did the guy really do anyway? What was his contribution?

Why do fans always find negativity when there is none, or take a positive and somehow create a negative.
Did you see who was the OP? Safe to assume that there’s something negative coming.

You know something, I'm OK with letting George Edwards' contract expire and not renewed. I've felt the past 2 years our LBs could have played better, plus the decision making on which ones start and which ones sit out hasn't been the best.
You’re missing the point. And your initial issue was you wanted a link to support the claim.

Now once it’s been presented your response is you’re ok with Jetho meddling with our coordinators assistants. Geeze
