Crap. This was an excellent signing and had me giddy. I wonder if they just need to give a couple days.

Brian Waters?

@AdamSchefter: Brandon Moore could not bring himself to get on plane and leave his family. He informed Cowboys of decision this am.

Well, that is a kick in the gut. I hope that this isn't true. If so, now what?

Great.. Hopefully Waters is still interested.

Can't believe Moore wants to call it quits at 33. What is he thinking? He's got the rest of the life to be retired he should be collecting as many paychecks as he can.

According to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports, Moore has decided to retire instead of joining the Cowboys.

I’m a man of my word. I hated letting Bill [Callahan] down,” Moore said of the Cowboys offensive coordinator, who worked with Moore with the Jets.

Thinking of a Parcells quote re Brandon Moore: if you're thinking about retirement, you've retired. Better Cowboys found out now than later

Deryk Gilmore, agent for Brandon Moore, tells me the guard decided to retire this morning after agreeing to a deal with Dallas last night...
Deal would have been worth a guaranteed $1.75M with a chance to make a max of $2M. Moore, financially secure, had a change of heart this AM

I bet he is on his way to Dallas by tomorrow. Jerry and Callahan will sell him and it's usually the family members that tell him it's okay to go.

Nahh. The only thing worst than retiring is re-unretiring. That's way too Favreish for the regular man.

Some veterans will shake loose in cost cutting moves soon enough.

Hahah only us. But seriously it's better off if his hearts not into it. If he came in and sucked because of being home sick it would have been way worse

I wasn't that excited about this in the first place. He could have helped us for one year maybe but he was a stop gap at best.

I would rather know what we have in the younger guys and address the interior next off season.

Is Brian Waters still interested? We're trying to give someone over a million dollars for about seven months of work. You'd think someone would take it.
