Officials: Well-known food company may want to sponsor Texas Stadium implosion

A well-known food company has expressed interest in sponsoring next year's implosion. The company also wants to conduct a nationwide contest to decide who gets to push the plunger that destroys the former home of America's Team.

City leaders revealed the company's interest Friday but declined to name the entity. But Irving officials said the company would bring a lot of attention to the event – and Irving – through a national advertising campaign centered on its proposed contest.

Could it be??.......

This thread takes me back to Maggie Gyllenhaal's final scene in The Dark Knight and I find myself asking, "In this instance, couldn't that be a Commanders fan instead"?

I was asking something totally different. "Maggie Gyllenhaal? What the heck were they thinking when they cast this movie?"

It's going to take quite awhile before I think of anything but Texas Stadium as home of the Dallas Cowboys.

No matter how great this new stadium is.

For some reason I can see the Commanders, Eagles, Giants fan celebrating this event.....like it will be the death of the Cowboys in their minds...

I believe Christopher Nolan was going for someone with the same sort of cute and quirky demeanor as Katie Holmes from Batman Begins. Gyllenhaal's not as cute as Holmes, but she played the same role as well as Holmes would have in my opinion.

That's my take as well, which is why I feel it would be more fitting for them to push the plunger while standing inside the stadium. It will be an experience which they will never forget. It'll also be the last thing they'll ever experience, but that's really just me being picky.
