The Fried Chicken Sandwich

I assume the square burgers are easier to make. Just roll out a sheet of meat and cut it into squares, with no spare meat to reform into other patties. Plus there's the gimmick factor. Can't say why they don't have matching buns, but as long as the patty is bigger than the bun, I'm good.

The square burger was Dave's way of saying Wendy's doesn't cut corners with their meat.

To this day, the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had were the ones coming out of the local KFC in the early 80's.

Somewhat surprising because everything else that came out of that kitchen was garbage. I don't think I've been to a KFC since that place shut down.

Side note: Chik Fil A is overrated.

I don't eat fast food anymore. When I was in the Marines I did eat at Wendy's. Then when out on 25 mile humps with full pack and 782 gear. Worked it off. I especially liked their chili because being from Texas it was hard to get good chili. I had to doctor it up a bit, but I could make it decent.

Chick Fil A has been doing the chicken sandwich thing for a long time and they are the best in the sandwich game. When Popeyes came out with their sandwich, people acted like it was a new invention and nobody had ever thought of putting chicken between two pieces of bread. The sandwich excitement has come and gone now. Chick Fil A is still sitting on the chicken sandwich throne while some of these places have dropped the sandwich from their menu. Personally, I liked the KFC sandwich the most out of all the newer sandwiches. Popeyes was severely overrated.

It's like who's hamburger is better. It's all relative. Everyone has their opinion which doesn't make it right. ChicFila is horrible because all they offer is fried everything. It's like they're trying to kill you. No thanks. At least Wendy's and others have more alternative choices. Chick-Fil-heart attack doesn't have many.

Wrong. Chick-Fil-A has alternative options too. Grilled chicken items, wraps, and salads.

Yes they do. Just not as much as other fast food cholesterol inducing joints. The US has one of the highest obesity rates in the entire world because of places like Chick-Fil-A, Wendy's, McDonalds, etc. Championing any of them is a disservice to us all.

Favorite Chicken Sandwich: Popeye's - it's just better than Chick-Fil-A and I love that one, too.
Favorite Chicken Sandwich Chain: Chick-Fil-A. Every fast food place should take lessons from them in customer service, cleanliness, and speed.

I've only had a bite of the KFC and have not had the Ch'King from BK so I can't rate these yet. The KFC one wasn't bad and that's my favorite fast food fried chicken. Can't wait to try an entire sandwich.
