Are they all in truck stops? I like the sausage balls and fried chicken also
I think they are for now.

My opinion was just the opposite. I saw several fast food chains attempt a quality chicken sandwich , but none of them measured up to the chicken sandwich professionals, Chick-Fil-A.I like Chick-fil-A fine, but every single chicken sandwich that's come out during these chicken wars has been better. I liked Popeyes, BK, KFC and even McDonalds better. That said, will they be as consistent? Every time I get a Chick-fil-A sandwich it's exactly the same no matter what city, parish, province, or state I'm in. I had one at my kids college campus a while back and it was just like home. I don't know that the other chains can pull off that consistency.
Agreed. As you said, our taste buds are all different. It's not like people choose to dislike the taste of certain things. Hell, I'd love it if I liked the taste of fish, brussel sprouts, and broccoli. Eating healthy and liking it would be a big bonus!Anybody who tries to tell anyone else what they should like is ignorant.
I agree with Chick-fil-A. Always the same. There is a Popeye's within walking distance to where I live. I love their fried chicken. It's been the same everywhere I go. Their spicy chicken sandwich is okay some times and phenomenal the next. It's always how much of the spicy mayonnaise (or whatever it is) they put on the sandwich. Most of the time I think they put too much on it and it's too messy and takes away the taste of the chicken. When they put the right amount of the sauce the sandwich is phenomenal.I like Chick-fil-A fine, but every single chicken sandwich that's come out during these chicken wars has been better. I've never seen a line of cars around a Chick-fil-A. In fact, I've never even seen a line to get in one. There is no debate. Anywhere you go, in any state, there is a line of cars surrounding chick filet, and they handle it better than any other fast food place

Maybe they don't have drive-thru here, but there empty parking spaces too, so maybe people just don't like it as much here. I've never tried it, so I can't say how good it is. I assume those lines are since the pandemic started? The 4 or 5 around here have 5 or 6 people that walk around outside with mobile ordering devices and delivering the food to cars to keep the lines moving, and it still wraps around the buildings. That is most of the day. I have noticed that other places too. I guess it was too big of an assumption to think it was everywhere

Yes Chick-Fil-A is by far the worst. My opinion was just the opposite. I saw several fast food chains attempt a quality chicken sandwich , but none of them measured up to the chicken sandwich professionals, Chick-Fil-A.

First one I do come across, I'm stopping in to see what all the fuss is about.
True, mostly. But a thin, dry chicken patty (or cutlet) with wilted lettuce (looking at you, McNasty's) is just bad.I must have low standards when it comes to chicken sandwiches because I pretty much like them all. One of those foods that is kind of hard to screw up because, you know, it's fried chicken slapped between two slices of bread.
Lol at the Mcnasty comment. They are my least favorite when it comes to chicken sandwiches but we have a pretty crappy McDs here where I live. I try to avoid fast food as much as possible but I do eat it on occasion. We have a Chinese restaurant here called Dynasty that people refer to as "Die Nasty".True, mostly. I've only been to BWW once, but the wings were pretty good, so it wouldn't surprise me if their sandwiches are very good.Believe it or not but I think the best Chicken sandwich I've ever had is at Buffalo Wild Wings.
I'm a lords chicken fan for fast food.
I'd never heard of a Wendy's shutting down over cleanliness and the one in OK and in Marble Falls both closed for that reason. And this was before the Yelp's so word of mouth sunk them.
I have had owners of all of the franchises as clients over the years in radio and some have become friends and they've clued me in on some things.
It is best to avoid lettuce on any ff sandwich as that is the most likely item to give food poisoning. Never order any sandwich as it comes because you do not know how long it's been assembled and watch out for them just taking something off of it. Do not buy food in the off hours, make sure it is busy and the production line is in swing.
When I lived in Dallas, my next door neighbor's brother owned most of the Taco Bells and he would not allow his family to ever eat there. I have never been to a Taco Bell since then and this was before the leak about how much the meat in their tacos isn't meat.
One thing I learned from Chick-Fil-A's owner in OK was just how anal they are about the cleanliness and reputation of their restaurants. They have someone assigned to oversee the staff during peak hours and not get in the production line like other managers do. He said they were bad enough before the Chipotle issues but then they went over the top. His wife said they should have brought all of their food from home to be cooked there as it was beyond pristine.
The other thing I have noticed about them is the attitude of their employees. Other ones have those employees that just hate it when you show up and make them work but I have never seen anything but pleasant people working at the local Chick-Fil-A. I think part of that is they know they're working for the best chain in the country. Doesn't matter whether you like their food or not, there is not a better or more consistent run ff chain because it all flows from the top down and franchisees are held to a higher standard.
