This is a list of players that are paid a lot and are suppose to be pillars of this franchise but underachieved to do injury or skill drop-off.

Demarcus Ware, I know he's had injuries, but I'm not sure I've seen a drop-off this fast in a player in a long time. We have always been use to Ware with superhuman strength and he didn't even have that this year. Really didn't even look like a shell of his former self.

Sean Lee, when he's in, he's the best player on defense and its not even close. Key word "in". For some reason he can't stay healthy and IMO I can't see him ever playing 16 games, ever.

Miles Austin, not much explanation, but when even healthy this year doesn't look like the same player, whether that be a coaching deal, or philosophy not sure what has happened.

My #1 goat this year......(outside of JG lol)

Brandon Carr, his play was sporadic, sometimes looking like the best corner in the league, and then looking like the worst the very next week. He shut down Garçon in the first matchup by himself, only to get torched later in the season. He also shut down Desean in the earlier matchup as well. But, he got destroyed by Megatron in embarrassing fashion. I think a lot of it had to do with coaching IMO. We almost changed what we wanted to do on weekly basis to cover up other things, and this secondary is made to play press man.

I'm not sure any of us can say that Lee, Austin, or Ware haven't done everything they can to get back onto the field. It sucks that all of them have had health issues but I feel no malice towards any of them for it.

Carr was a below average CB from the Detroit game on and was not injured. He needs to turn it around -- the club is paying him WAY to much for this level of play.

The reason Lee can't stay healthy is becuase he's undersized for his position.

Debatable. Dat Nguyen was undersized too I thought.

Yes he was and he was also injured a lot. The fact that Lee is undersized for the position is not debatable. It's a fact. He's 6'2" 234lb's. That's way way too small for a mike.

Shhhhh.....Don't tell that to Zach Thomas.

He cant stay healthy because he's just prone to injuries. He got injured in college and was plenty big enough there.

I feel no malice as well. I like all of them. I'm not from the school that I hate you because you can't play no more. But these guys were counted on and they didn't deliver, whether that be health, or drop off in skill.

I...don't think youre on to something there. There have been 'over sized' players that couldn't stay on the field, and undersized ones that never came off

Do you even know what Zach Thomas looks like? Two completly different body types. Thomas was 5-11 242. Fireplug built to take punishment. Lee is 6-2 234. He looks like an injury waiting to happen which he is.

There's always exceptions to the rule. But not in this case.

Thomas was never 242. I went to school with him and his college roommate I worked with for years. He was always around 230 and can remember vividly him using my scale almost daily.

This list has to have carter and mo at the top. Two high picks and two complete busts.

A little early to say that. I'd give them another year or two before calling Mo or Carter busts.
