that would be bad for you. what would you do if Dak left the cowboys. you have nothing to comment about. literally nothing.
i may agree with you on this . i don't think a SB or CCG caliber QB is on this roster. Cowboys have to pick one from the draft

Well, my theory is, there's only one reason for Trey Lance to be here. That's because they've seen enough of Dak in training camp to know that he's still struggling with his accuracy. Trey is the first step in the process he will see snaps this year. Then come draft day we'll have a decision. So I Don't see competition with Rush next year, more likely a top pick.

cowboys need to pick a QB from the next draft . Trey may not pan out . The most important position in the NFL has been ignored by jerry and has been based on dak and a back up ( rush) that no one wants. No one knows what trey can do . Failure at SF is not a good sign ,

The CCG should be the least for MM and Dak this year . Enough is enough , The defense is very strong and the offensive parts are good enough for a CCG . Can the QB and MM deliver ?

Yeah let’s cut him and take the 30 million dollar cap hit next year AND in 2025.

I’m not happy about it but we’re stuck with Dak for probably 3 more seasons minimum.

If you move on from Dak, I don’t think it will be Lance vs Rush. I think it will be Lance vs a draft pick. Rush is either let go as well or stays as the backup. Loser of the competition is the developmental QB.

I am a Dak fan and I am excited about the potential of Trey Lance.

Because no matter what your stand is about Dak the player, we can all agree that he is now past 30 and has missed games due to injury three years in a row.

Cooper Rush did a nice job not screwing up, but if Dak were to miss extended time we need a QB we can win with and not in spite of (enter Dak joke here, ant-Dakkers).

I think Lance can be that guy so long as the coaches are patient. He's not that guy yet, but I really want to see if he can be (in the future).

Excellent point. Lance is only a very long term threat to Dak. He's a much more immediate threat to Rush for sure.

Let me also add the media is really getting ahead of themselves with Lance.

Best case scenario he is the Cowboys' next franchise quarterback by 2025 or so. Worst case scenario is they threw a fourth round pick away (which is nothing compared to what the 49ers could have had, including Micah Parsons).
