If they move on from Dak because he’s not Burrow, Mahomes or Allen they’ll likely up with a lesser QB than they have. They’ll end up picking in the top 15 most years. If they try going the route of San Francisco, they’ll probably end up bad because San Francisco not only has a great defense, but is still getting real good QB play. It would be just as tough for the Cowboys trying to build a defense like San Francisco has as it would be trying to find a better QB than Dak. The dope on the video admits Dak is a good QB, but if they move on from a good QB, they’ll likely end up like Washington who’s had some good defenses, but they don’t have a good QB.

Even QBs like Dak don’t grow on trees. San Francisco didn’t move on from Jimmy G until they found a QB that was proven to be better. They moved on from him and Trey Lance because Purdy led them to a championship game last season and played outstanding. The Cowboys can’t move on from Dak until they know they have a better QB in house or they’ll end up screwed. The nubskull in the video makes it sound like it would be easy building a great defense like San Francisco. Lol The Cowboys haven’t had a defense like theirs in over 30 years.

I guess we'll never know.
So you can speculate on his situation here in Dallas but not in Buffalo?

The bigger point is he’s a project . Hopefully he can be developed and mentored , not the bust he was at SF.

Are you interested in starting Lance now? Or do you think we are letting Prescott walk after this year?

I'm interesting in starting anyone but Dak.

But I don't want it to be Rush, because he's never going to be anything.

I'll take the unknown that Lance brings over the known that Dak brings any day though.

He's done in Dallas.
That dude in the video could sell you on anything. Who is he done for, Trey Lance? Lol You might want to go watch his tape in San Francisco. There’s a reason they were desperate to dump him after only two seasons for whatever they could get. It’s a real longshot he does anything in the next year or two that makes Jerry think he could be our future. I’m talking a real long shot!

I’m hoping by 2025 after Rush’s two year deal is done Lance can become our 2nd string backup further preparing and developing him as our future . Or in the event injury strikes down Prescott.

It’s always possible Trey isn’t anymore than a career backup despite his 1st round talent and expectations. And that’s fine as well . I’m hopeful he could be the future.

This is what many of us critics have been arguing for years bringing in a legit heir apparent in the event . Well, Jethro & Son delivered. We’ll see if it works out.

But if fans think he brought here to take over this or next year then they haven’t been listening to our owners. They are simply using this as a talking point to trash Dak.

I figured you would. Lol

Even though he wasn’t enough at this time to beat out Purdy’s backup. Brilliant !!

Look, if Lance is a budding superstar quarterback, then Dak won't stay in his way for all that long.

If last year is the New Normal for Dak, then Lance is going to get a long look this year.

If Dak plays up to his old level or better, there is a good chance he'll remain the starting quarterback for the foresseable future.

Jethro &Son said they will be extending Prescott sooner than later.

Since they’ve provided this new talking point for Dak detractors they should probably make it sooner . Or this crap will continue.

I'm believing it to be more of a time issue in SF, they gave up the farm for Lance, but the situation was not right for everyone involved.
If we hit on even future draft picks for this 4th round investment its called good business.
I we hit on a potential starter even better.

Yeah, I don't think we should be modeling anything on Brock Purdy. And I don't think we are.

Dak got dog walked head to head against Purdy and his back up also.

Lance wasn't brought in to take part. He was brought in to take over.
At some point. But not anytime soon. At least according to Jethro & Son. Unless you have some insider info ?

We’ll see what you say when we extend Dak.

Jerry isn't exactly trying to find a better QB, is he.... He has ignored the QB position for 7 seasons until this recent trade for Lance, and he did the same thing when Romo was playing. Dak wasn't drafted to be the immediate starter, it just ended up that way when Romo went down.

Will Lance end up replacing Dak? There's a chance Jerry brought him in to do just that, with the intent to avoid Dak breaking the bank again while providing mediocre play. But only Jerry can provide insight on this subject. I'm leaning more towards it being a drunk Jerry impulse trade and nothing more. No one but Jerry knows for certain
