Comparative to what?

I'm only paying about $17 more per month for my iphone than I was for my old BlackJack.....and the difference in ability is 10xxxxxxxxxxx that of your average phone. WELL worth the $17 IMO.

It's relative. If you want to spend $40 a month, you shouldn't even be in this discussion....but if you want a phone that can help you manage daily affairs and do something beyond phoning and texting, than the iphone is a relative bargain IMO.

My wife and I pay about $80 a month ($112 after taxes) I have a blackberry and she has a sidekick. We both have unlimited Internet access and share 750 minutes. Everyone in my office that has a iPhone pays that ($100+) for just 1 phone.

That's the exact reason why I don't have an internet ready phone. Our bill is $73 a month for 450 mins and we rarely use 200 minutes total.

Thats cause you share 750 minutes, that is a huge difference. Try going to unlimited minutes, then see what your bill rises to. I use over 4000 minutes a month so the $122 is worth it.

My employer reimburses me the $19.99 a month for the Internet access. The only issue with that is, I get a bunch of work related emails on my phone that I would prefer to not get.

I have a treo for that. I used to do the same thing you do but it was a pain.

I used to have the 5,000 minute plan, (not offered anymore) and I paid $120 a month for that. I don't travel all the time and deal with 50 different customers anymore so I don't need it.

You really can't compare your usage to other people. Normal people don't use that type of minutes. The cheapest iphone with internet access is almost the same price as two phones with internet access. At least in my case.

Both AT&T and Apple hose their customers. They are a pair made in hell.

Price is relative to how much you can afford.

My wife and I both have an iPhone. We share 1400 mins a month, unlimited data plan, and 250 text msgs each.

I pay around $130 for the plan.

I wasn't an apple fan. In fact I was one of those 'screw' those apple sticker on car driving bonehead kind of people.

I can pretty much do anything that I want on my phone. The web experience on this phone flat out beats any other phone I've owned.

I actually enjoy going to the mall with the wife now because I have my iPhone to keep me entertained.

I didn't say the iPhone wasn't the most entertaining. I just said the company blows ***.

Do you pay for one data plan for both of you? Or does each phone get charged for it?

Gotcha.

With that being said - ATT does screw their customers when it comes to things like MMS, tethering, and the latest Google Voice fiasco.

Other than that, I have no problems with the coverage etc.

Some other carrier needs to get the iPhone though so ATT can't do the things it does.

But, the iPhone is still the best mobile phone I've owned.

There's so much crap I can do with the phone. It's amazing.

I pay for the data plan on both phones. That can't be shared.

I was just looking at my wireless bill and made a mistake. We pay $155 dollars a month.

My wife's previous phone was a Treo (big POS) with Verizon.and she was paying $85 a month.

So, we actually saved money by her getting an iPhone.

So it's $60 a month just for the data plans?

We've got Tmobile. We pay 19.99 each for the Internet access and $39.99 for the shared 750 minutes.

I heard, not sure it's true, but the iphone data plan is $30 a month.

That is correct.

With verizon I think my wife was paying $40 for the data plan.

It's not the cheapest phone plan around, but the availability and the overall experience is light years ahead of what we got from Verizon and their featured hardware.

My wife was never a gadget/tech kind of person. But, since I got her an iPhone she can't seem to put it down. It's quite funny actually.

The biggest culprits?

Games and Facebook. LOL.

That would almost double our bill per month. Wow

Which makes sense, considering you'd much more than double the amount of time you spent using your cell phone if you had an iPhone.
