Here is a coaching issue: why was Dunbar playing on kick return? No excuse for that JG!

Garrett (something I can't say). Garrett (something I can't say). Garrett (something I can't say). Garrett (something I can't say). Garrett (something I can't say).
Garrett (something I can't say). Garrett (something I can't say). Garrett (something I can't say). Other than that, he's a great coach. Go Cowboys!

Was our offense really that good last season? Take away Murray, and you still have the same, predictable offense. We still ran on 1st down 95% of the time; we just got away with it. He opened things up for Dez, and vice-versa. We act like we still have a WR that commands double teams, and a RB that will wear you down; we have neither. Maybe I'm blind, but I don't see ANY creativity to mask those holes. It's just the same damn thing.

That was a huge mistake. Once I saw Gachkar limping off, I was screaming to call a time out.

You should apply for the head coaching job then...just kidding, yeah that was a huge mistake. You know Brees saw that and was think it was an early Christmas present. Other then that and not calling a timeout when the d line was straight gassed, I don't think JG coached a bad game.
I don't think any coach could do much we the team we are throwing out there right now.

He thought he was across the border why call a timeout?

If Garrett thought he was across the border, then Garrett is an idiot...................you could clearly see he was still in the field of play when the ball was snapped.

That screw up cost us three points in a game that went to OT.

Jason sucks! He should be able to coach up @jobberone and put him in the game!

Who was that LB bloke that was in towards the end of the game? Tom Cruise? Look, Collinsworth called this team a M.A.S.H. unit but that was putting it kindly. The only difference between our roster and an episode of The Walking Dead is Melissa McBride, and she could probably start at 3 different positions for us right now.

Hardy and McClain are going to be huge for this team. Huge. We have Grego back too, I heard he's been wrapping his ankle in cannabis daily and it's healing up nicely. Dez is back Week 7.

Please, of you'd be so kind as to take my suggestion. Eat some ice cream, drink a little american honey, make a little love to the wife or GF or whatever you're into and chill. This was a weird game and we were in a weird situation.

Don't freak out just yet.

Uhhhh, thanks for the tag! I think.

My last football was before Reagan was President. But I still remember like it was yesterday. Ok, then, the day before.

I wish we'd gone spread earlier in the game. As soon as we made that switch, the ball magically started moving. If we'd gotten the ball first in OT and had stayed spread, I think we win that game.

Jason Garrett needs to have a conversation with Scott Linhenan.

You have an obvious talent dificiency....No misdirection, nothing to get the defense on its heals- Are we allowed to run counters? Because I don't remember seeing one all game.

The kill kill stuff is obvious to the other team. Whatever side looks weak on the defense, Weeden is running to that side- the linebacker on the saints called it out at least 4 times- they knew exactly what we were doing.

If the stretch play inst working-run straight up the middle.

On defense, stop playing so soft against everyone. IT was beyond frustrating to see Brees dink and dunk his way down the field. I mean I knew on the 4th and 2 play that they converted what the play was going to be-yet it was an extremely easy conversion. We did an overload to one side blitz and we got a sack and then we didnt do it again? That makes no sense.

Start yelling at people please-especially Bisaccia as his unit is terrible. Yell at the rookies to know their assignments. Don't put Michael in the game when he hasnt played at all at the most important moment.

Tell Tyron Smith and Tyrone Crawford to start playing up to their contracts- call them out please. Do something to light a fire under them.

Oh and every player that dropped an INT please make them run or do something- Yell at a player and get pissed at them please I just want to see it one time.

This has nothing to do with Garret but Brandon Carr sucks

weedon did do better in that, but knowing JG, they probably go jumbo in OT.

I started thinking that last game with Atlanta shifting their line that they would be susceptible. With Callahan, we called counters a lot to much success last year.

This is what I was going to bring up, you beat me to it!
Also I dont like beasely or DMC returning punts or kicks, either.

My rule would be no starters, or valuable assets on offense or defense will return kicks or punts.

It is ok if you tell them to do a fair catch. Just for a sure handed catch.

This resulted in losing dunbar for the season, i saw his knee bend in the nfln replay, and he is out for season, I am fairly sure.
his foot was cleated in turf as the guy grabbed his shoulder it pulled him back and turned him at same time.
I have seen many players hurt doing kick returns , and it is stupid to lose someone you need on offense.

Let special teamer or someone who doesnt do much on offense or defense return the kicks, or get a dedicated guy for both kicks and punts.
They kept lucky, but then dont use him to return kicks, or as a receiver ??

Who else would you have back there? Whitehead was inactive. Someone has to return kickoffs. Blame a coach for play calling, game prep, etc. but never blame them for an injury. It's part of the game.

The problem with this coaching staff is that Marinelli is the only guy who has the ability to coach anyone up to get more out of them. The rest of the staff, including the HC, only do okay when they have superstars. Most coaches look good when they have superstars but the good ones can coach someone up to get more out of them.

Lucky was inactive. So just who are you going to have return Kicks/Punts?
It's part of the game. And an injury can happen to any player at any time. To try and blame a coach for that?

lucky should have been active , or use someone else.
Or on KO just down it in end zone always, they never get good returns or one all the way, and on punts fair catch it.
they could use street or I am sure they have other players who dont do much on offense or defense.

Also dunbar was 8 yards deep and ran it out which to me should be a no no.
Jimmy Johnson said last year, he would not let his players return kickoffs, due to more bad can happen than good, just take it at the 20.

So now Garrett should have had Lucky active and Michael inactive so Dunbar wouldn't have had to return kick offs? I guess for some who need to criticize a coach. There truly always a way.
Dunbar wasn't a starter. And every player is a valuable asset. And it would be beyond crazy to tell a return guy just to fair catch punts and kick offs. Talk about a strategy that would get a coach laughed out of the league!

I think everyone should give Brainpaint a very big hand for taking the time to segregate these arguments out.

A moderator position around here should be paid.

Thanks for thinking of me and I would hazard to guess we will be hearing more of your sarcastic wit and overall posting numbers with the mounting Cowboys losses compared to the scaled back posting numbers when the Cowboys were winning. ~Shocker~

I agree with this point, Garrett needs to crack the whip and start ripping some of these guys a new rear end.
