When everyone is not on the same page, coaching. Simple. Dak needs to bone up his issues for sure and he deserves the criticism for his misses and failures at those moments but I can't get past what Kurt said when he looked at KMs plays and wondered what they were even doing. Lack of bailout and confusing emphasis on opening things up the right way.
Agreed. I think if the FO is committed to Dak, it’s time to make a change at OC.

How about whole offense sucks, dak included, and the 2 guys running the offense and game mgmt, which are MM and KM.
And I will say it again, game plans and playbooks are a big part of why a team will win or lose a game.
No matter how good your players are if the team has a bad game plan, and plays and play calling they will lose and look bad.

Not just dallas either, I see some other teams that for some strange reason will have awful game plan and play calling.
I wonder sometimes if the nfl just tells coaches to lose game and then they sabotage the game.
abainst the niners they did. Us it’s the niners.

A lot of it was his fault against San Francisco. He should've been pick-sixed on the stick route to Schultz late, making it 3 INTs on the day (and effectively ending the game). It's only because the defender dropped the ball that he wasn't. He also should've been sacked in the end-zone for a safety late. Roller-coaster Dak is off the reservation at present. Has been all year with that "keep firing" nonsense. He's still late with the ball. Still doesn't anticipate well. Has bad footwork (too many hitches). Tries to beat coverage that he should not and doesn't take what the defense gives him when he should. Inconsistent quarterback, with an inconsistent coordinator...and mark my words, as I said after LAST year, if you bring them both back together, they will break Cowboy hearts once again next year.

At this point, you really have to wonder if enough talent can be put in place to overcome the Prescott/Moore combo.
You need a championship squad with more talent than the other teams. We don’t have that.

You mean the #1 offense in the nfl 3 years running?

I hate this hook offense Kellen Moore runs. Just too many stop routes. Look at the video 49ers knew. They were jumping the hitches. I noticed it during the game. That's why Ceedee Lamb was able to sprint past the CB on that deep ball. The CB was waiting for a stop route.

I've said for years that it seems as if 80%+ of our passes are caught with our backs to the defenders....ZERO imagination...HOWEVER, when you have a QB who finds it almost impossible to hit a WR in stride, what do you expect the calls to be. EVERYTHING has to be made DAK PROOF....one more reason to move on. In the meantime, go get Derek Carr. Problem solved.
If you call a slant he's going to throw behind the receiver 9 times out of 10. He can't figure out trajectory.

The offense has actually regressed since 2019, when Moore first took the job:

2nd DVOA...2019 [6th in ppg]...Prescott QBR = 71.9 [4th]
6th DVOA...2021 [1st in ppg] QBR = 60.5 [11th]
15th DVOA...2022 [4th in ppg] QBR = 57.9 [12th]

The 2019 offense was more impressive, especially since the defense has been leading the league in takeaways the last two years, making the offense look better than it actually is. As you can see Prescott himself has regressed since 2019. His rookie year remains as his best QBR performance [77.6].

This isn't a Dak excuse thread. Don't come in here trying to defend Kellen Moore by just blaming Dak. This offense sucks and is a problem.

Outside the numbers was open ALL game. Kellen didn't ADJUST at all.

i deeply dislike KM straight up....please cowboys get killer OC to go with our killer DC

Crazy because just last week, this offense looked amazing
In the nfl it’s about adjustment. What we did in Tampa probably wasn’t going to work against a better more prepared SF defense.

We just didn’t adjust. Been part of this teams dna for a while now.

I still for the life of me don’t know why we dont use the read option more with dak. When we use it it works. It saying it has to be every play… but once a drive to pickup a key first. Why not. The eagles and giants use it as half their plays and have succes.

That 2nd and 2 at half… you run anything besides a pass there and we’re most likely winning or tied at halftime

I'm more surprised that anyone is angry as if there was even the slightest chance we'd win that game.

We did almost nothing to get better from last year. The only thing I thought was slightly better was the defense with the addition of Hankins, and some budding young players.

The offense still has a glaring hole at slot receiver, depth on the offensive line, and soon enough at running back.

Once the injuries started piling on top of it l knew we were in for the ups and downs as per usual.

I'm not a big fan of Kellen Moore either as the coordinator for this team. I just don't think he fits. I suspect he'll be heading elsewhere in the offseason.

Year after year Kellen's offense is exposed in post season, he makes good playcalling against bad teams ...

but when MM gets us to the post season , the classic Kellen offense gets exposed.
