yeah, I doubt it.

Jerry is never quick with these things.

He waited a week to fire Garrett.
Technically Garrett was not fired. His contract expired and he wasnt renewed. The week you speak of was Garrett groveling for his job before he came to the realization it wasnt happening.

He didn’t really ever fire Garrett
He just let his contract run out and if he wouldn’t have liked McCarthy he may have kept him
It’ll be the same this time

“If I don’t extend him it’ll motivate him!”

Jerry has a very serious weirdo logic thing going on. Always has.

I’m sure Mike is plenty motivated, just gets completely outschemed by better coaches that see the holes in our roster that are there because the Jones twins think they are outsmarting the rest of the league by counting on mid round picks to play key roles.

It's barely been 24 hours. It's not like this team was 3-9 six weeks ago and the decision was already made.

Jerry got blindsided yesterday. Not just a loss, but how they lost. I'd expect him to take a day or two to think about it.
My god....what is there to think about???

I put this in another thread, but the reporters with the connections are basically saying that Jerry Jones is shocked that they lost this early and wasn’t even ready to make a decision

longer it takes, the more I think it was Buffalo or Philadelphia who was doing the secret talks with Belichick.
I see Philly getting Belichick now. They have the defensive players he can work with.

The window is small bc the best coaches get snapped up fast. Jerry should be leading the charge for change to deflect from his own idiocy.
Exactly why I figure he will be back. Jerry is going to just let McCarthy contract run out next year.

Make no mistake it’s Jerry who holding him back. That his hand picked coach didn’t work out again. He fired MM he has to admit he made another mistake. That’s all he cares about.

Remember he kept garret around for all those years.

If MM comes back , it won’t be about money. It will be bc Jerry is too old to start over with a new coaching staff. He has always done what is most convenient and comfortable for himself. I’ll actually be impressed if Jerry has the balls to fire MM and try for something better. But I’m rarely impressed by anything this team has done the past 28 years.

Anyone else thinking the same? If we were going to fire McCarthy I would think the news would of came out today. The longer we wait the more I think McCarthy stays. Unless Jerry doesn't want to fire him on this holiday?
Yup, agreed

Each day that passes, the chances of a change get smaller and smaller.

Only thing Jerry could be waiting for is to see if the 49ers smack the Pack around....................if the Pack somehow win that game, it might give Jerry cover to keep Fat Mike.
