That is usually why teams will fire their HC the next day, they don't want to miss out interviewing ANY good to great coach out there. Jerry could not care less, knows they won't coach for him anyway under his terms. MM still in the hot seat.

If you want a DC to be head coach then I would take Mike MacDonald. Plus Morris has a record of 21-38 as a head coach.

MM isn’t going anywhere, Jerry isn’t paying him to do nothing. Jerry will tell everyone that they are so close to the goal of the SB that he can’t see where change will help anything. Blob boy and Dak will be back to torture fans for another season at a minimum.

me personally, until i see belichick, vrabel, and harbaugh all hired somewhere, i think there is a chance. some teams aren't going to hire their next coach until after the superbowl anyway as they might be waiting on those coaches

Likely, McCarthy stays, Dak stays, they find a new DC, spend the offseason talking about the massive numbers the offense and Dak put up and how the defense failed in big spots, etc.

I expect nothing bold from this franchise. For a guy who likes to sell himself as a risk taker, a real wild cat, Jerry Jones is predictable as crap.

Mike's his boy. Just how Mike got hired is that Mike fit into the family ala Garrett. His leash is ultra long so we'll probably get a couple more seasons of Mike at a minimum.

I believe the more days that go by the better it looks for McCarthy. If Jerry is going to make a change he would do it in a timely manner to a least allow McCarthy to interview for other openings. He fired Garrett about a week after our season ended in 2019.
