The Mavericks Suck

Well, back then he was at least averaging close to 20 ppg.

Your info is wrong. He averaged 14.2 in PHX. Some seasons he only had 11.6.

Ah, guess I was thinking a year with NJ. Though he did have two seasons in Phoenix with almost 17 ppg. :laugh2:

Without Kidd, it was still 4 on 5 on offense (Dampier/Diop did virtually nothing).

At least with Kidd, Dampier is getting more baskets.

News alert for Kavorka-

Celtics owned by Western Conference team tonight!:D

i know you're just joking, but the celtics beating a WC team in the regular season doesn't matter and a WC team beating the celtics in the regular season does matter?

The thing that sucks is that its Dirk and a bunch of guys (regardless of the name on the back of those guys' jerseys).

We have exactly 1 consistent front-line player. Every year I gain a greater appreciation for how much he carries the team alone. JHo can't be counted on for anything but a quick start. Jet may light it up or he may go 2-12 with no other aspect of his game being above average. Stack is the same way, at least he can pass from the 2 guard, but his knees look like they're about to fall off.

Hopefully everyone can get hot at the right time.

I saw them play the Heat a few months ago. Extremely soft team. Never should have lost Nash.

Ok. Seriously, they say he's out 2 wks but the exact injury is not known or not being divulged.

More testes tomorrow.

Mavs are done I believe and I don't think they have the firepower to light it up and win the West.

Agreed. Sad fact is they had the talent and the chemistry to win the last two championships. By all rights should be back to back champs. (They could have been contendas)

And now they aren't in the top five in talent in the West and are due for big changes next yr. What should have been a gloriously era will only be recalled as what could/should have been. Pity.

and now Dirk's injured.

Ugh.

As was said earlier (maybe in another thread, can't remember), this is increasingly becoming Dirk and a bunch of guys. You shut him down, you can rest assured that most of the time the other guys won't step up. And when Dirk is out completely, it is ugly.

Mavs minus Dirk in the playoff race stretch run...:
