I'm trying to remember what Garcia's QB rating/performance was last time he faced the Cowboys. Oh yeah, it was 0.0. He was 8 for 27 for 71 yards, 0 TDs and 3 INTs. Talk about a spanking.

that much of a spanking, we let up on 8 plays where they caught the ball and mangaged to get 71 yards

My priorities for the Cowboys remaining regular season.

1) Clinch a playoff berth
2) Get a home playoff game
3) Get a 1st round bye
4) Get home field advantage throughout

Notice that none of those priorities listed include beating the Saints, Falcons, Eagles or Lions as anything more than a means to an end.

We could win or lose any of the remaining regular season games. On any given Sunday...

I have no greater passion for beating the Eagles than I do the other remaining teams. Maybe if we weren't a serious contender I would find some solace in beating a division rival. But our goals are higher than that. We're thinking postseason and playing our nameless, faceless opponents, one at a time in order to try to reach our goals.

For Eagle fans I can understand why the Dallas game would be circled on their calendar. Good luck to you.

Alright, I've given you some time to think over my claim that the Eagles should prove to be your most dangerous remaining competitor.

I've heard everything from insults to attitude. Your name callers are the usuall suspects, giving no real substance to anything, bypassing the topic only to spew out personal feelings that really add nothing to the dialogue. I must admit that a few comments were refreshing.

Fundamentally, all I'm saying is that the Eagles will compete at the highest level possible, given the fact that our lead QB is out for the season. For those experience football fans here that can interpret what I've said, I'm sure I didn't tell you anything that You didn't already know. For the remaining fans, let me break it down a little further for you...

- The Eagles are your only division rivals remaining in 2006

- All divisional games are dangerous

- We've played the Cowboys before and have had a nice period of time to
observe Romo, and watch film on some of your games

- Garcia is adapting more and more to the Eagles 1st team offense, and our defense is playing more agressively.

Now I've said Nothing personal about anyone. I haven't taken anything away from the Cowboys ...so what is the problem? I haven't said that the Eagles will beat the Cowboys, yet some of you will develop unnecessary angst about nothing at all. Dangerous ...helleyeah the Eagles are dangerous!

And that's all it was - your claim. You asked for "logical" responses when you used zero logic in your original post. Just more of the wishful thinking we got from you before the season started - with predictable results.

Definition of irony - Talon asking for "real substance".

And I can't see why anyone wouldn't be thrilled by some 6-6 Eagles fan trying to come in here and tell us to fear them!

Would that be the same level they've competed at against the Titans or the Bucs?

As has been said, the Eagles are irrelevant. The Cowboys have bigger "fish to fry" as in the playoffs. Week 5 was your Super Bowl - I hope it was worth it.

No, you barged in after a rare win, touting your mediocre team as "dangerous".

Please.

You, and your team, are irrelevant.

maybe we are tired of the same posts about the same old Eagles. We have something to be really excited about, our team is playing its best football in years, our new leader at the helm, and pushing for a REAL playoff birth.
Then we have to endure a long winded post about why we should be afraid of the Eagles. Every game is taken seriously, not because you say so, just because they are.

Many of you will probably say that either the Saints or the Falcons game is the most dangerous game remaining for the Cowboys in 2006. Indeed, those games will not be a walk in the park, but the most crucial game is the one that will be played against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Personally, because not all Eagle fans feel the way I do on this subject, and I cannot speak for all Eagle fans, but ...I this that the Cowboys is the healthiest team in the NFC-East. But like most Cowboys fans, you probably think that the Eagles are finished without McNabb. Garcia is no McNabb, but he can deliver and is capable of closing games. CouPled with the fact that the Eagles still have a decent to strong defensive system along with it's Offensive wepons still in place.

One of the stones that could bring down goliath is penalties. Dallas is still making a disproportionate number of mental errors and mistake. If you underestimate the Eagles in December ...you may not come out victorious.

Now I expect you to disagree with this perspective, but at least try to demonstrate a logical argument. The Eagles are the most dangerous game the Cowboys have remaining in the 2006 Regular Season.

I saw a revitalized defense and a scrappy offense led by Garcia.
I also saw a swaggering and effective Westbrook.
It should be a great game. However, the Cowboys are on a roll. Romo and MBIII are on a roll. And our defense is playing well, albeit without much success at sacks and holes in the secondary.

good luck to all of us.:)

-Brilliant observation regarding remaining division rival game...but so what?

-ALL games are "dangerous," that is why they play each one on the schedule (didn't the Cowboys just upset the Colts?...not a division rival, but turned out to be a "dangerous" game for Indy, did it not?)

-The Eagirls have had time to watch film....this proves what? Game film study does not automatically translate into improved performance...

-Garcia's adaptation and a defense playing more agressively (sic) means nothing as it again lacks comparison. Who is the Eagirls defense playing more aggressively than? Itself, from the prior week? Another team?

Given this league, the Eagles may even win.

But the Saints are still a better team and a bigger threat. For that matter Atlanta may be as well, depending which Vick shows up.

Sorry i don't get your point. The Title of your thread is "The Most Dangerous Game Remaining in 2006!" but your post is all about stateing that the Eagles aren't dead. Hmmmm.... Maybe the Eagels aren't dead without McNabb (which is btw also my opinion). But how can this game be the most dangerous game for the Cowboys?

The next game against the Saints is big for us because it can decide between homefield advantage in the playoffs and a first round bye.

After that game all other games have the same meaning: Win the game and you seperate even more from the pack lose them and we'll have hard time getting a first round bye etc...

A dangerous game for me is one where you can lose alot by losing it. With the upcoming game against New Orleans we can lose alot, so i see this game as a dangerous game. But against your team? No. Even if we lose that game we can turn that "L" around by wining the other 2 games. But not with the New Orleans game. OK someone could argue we could underestimate The Eagles. But again, who cares? This game has nothing more to lose or win for us then the other 2 (against the Falcons or Detroit).

Now someone could argue that The Eagles are the most dangerous team left on our schedule Maybe this person is right but IMO this team isn't - New Orleans is, simply because there Coach was our OC last year and he knows all the players and the system in Dallas). But again i have to say: "who cares". I don't say the game against the Eagles is meaningless but by far the stakes aren't that high compared to the Saints game.
