That's what you get at pick 28.

If teams felt lik he was a player that was truly a sure thing disruptive force, he wouldn't have made it out of the top 10

If we get Greg Ellis at pick 27, that's a steal.

That is pretty much how I see it. Unless the guy turns out a lot better than anyone thinks Taco is what you can expect to get at 28. If he does a Greg Ellis career then its a good pick.

And you'll make excuses for him til the end of time. When can we judge him? 2021?
You hate our defensive coach. I get it. Many do. I think he has done a great job with smoke and mirrors. List all the defensive starters drafted by the Cowboys in the first three rounds under the current management. We take wild flyers on clowns.

Foster could have solidified the middle for the next decade... or may have smoked his *** out of the league like previous RKG's.

I was blah about Taco. Don't think he has the burst and is a bit lumbering. But I trust Clay so if he thinks Taco is worthy of being our top pick, that's good enough for me.

Better players on the board in King and the DT from MSU (cant remember his name at the moment)

Also-- Watt is more raw but looks more like a natural RDE to me. Taco looks slow and reminds me of Greg Ellis.

Guess you can do worse than an 8-10 sack steady DE though... welcome aboard Taco! Work hard and do everything Rod tells you and you can be alright

Ellis was faster than Taco. Ellis was fast enough to be an OLB.

Nobody knows for sure if this kid is going to be the pass rusher we need. Some folks may think they do, but any opinion you have right now can easily change as soon as you see him play his first game. I asked for this pick but even I am not convinced he's going to be the pass rusher we need. All we have to base any opinion on is his senior season... which was really good, I'm hopeful.

and he was in 06 and 07.

In fact had he not been hurt in arizona in 06 who knows how that december and january would have gone. Losing ellis to the achilles injury was huge. Singleton and carpenter had to play opposite ware and offered almost nothing in pass rush. It allowed teams to slide protections to wear and use tight ends more down the field and just like magic they killed us in that stretch.

He has great size and power to be a nice player in the NFL... I know some may have been hoping for other options, but this late in the first round he truly was one of the best players available and a position of need... Marinelli is great coach for Taco who hopefully will motivate him to take his game up to a level that matches his physical attributes...

LOL. A third rounder?

Where do you guys get this stuff from?

Real simple. This draft was widely regarded as very thin in pass rushers. We got the 6th best of a very weak class. Maybe he can help us, but I don't expect an impact player at all.

This looks like a guy Rod wanted. Well you got him so now it's time to back up this belief you are a DL whisperer.

If this team struggles to get to the Aqaba in 2017, new contract or not, you may have to wonder if Rod really still has the touch.
this looks completely like a Rod pick to me because our scouts are more SPARQ oriented to say the least.
