... but I hate this pick! I just watched a 10 minute HIGHLIGHT video of Taco and I didn't see one single play that made me think this guy is anything special. He had one play against Indiana where he was completely unblocked, the qb took a 5 step drop and moved towards him and he still didn't get home. UGH... I hope I'm wrong!

What you need to hope for is Rod being able to teach him to get off the ball quicker.

Everyone under Rod seems to get off the ball better with him.

He's raw but he's got some talent.

I hope McDowell is our next pick.

If he made it to us that would be incredible. I've seen some say he has no position. But I disagree. I think he'd be a perfect 3T

Elite talent. Just questionable drive.

Because a lot of people feel like Watt is/will be the better player.

maybe he will be but he is built for an olb position in a 34. I liked watt but brad and mickey said there was no debate and they didn't feel watt could play the run.

I have cringed for the past 2 seasons watching jack crawford try and play the run and I would hate to see a first round player getting pushed around like that. It doesn't appear taco will get pushed around.

He is coming into a good situation I think.

Could be.

A lot of people don't think he was a fit in our defense either.

Hate the 4-3 if you wanna hate anything tonight.

The NFL produced about six 4-3 ends last season that got double digit sacks. Chances are---you aren't going to land one of those guys at the 28th pick unless you get lucky. If Taco is a 6-8 sack guy, we got our draft value.

Remember, Dallas was a middle of the pack team in sacks last season...not nearly as bad as most fans think. I said going into the draft, we need to set our sights on another piece to the puzzle that can get a half dozen sacks...you aren't getting a "war daddy" at pick 28.

Middle of the pack wasn't good enough. When the chips were down, they couldn't get after an elite QB in a big game.

Marinelli seems to be a big force behind this pick. The kid better be able to play and 6-8 sacks would be acceptable. But if this kid is a dud, anyone who is honest with themselves should start to wonder about Marinelli.

He was playing later in the year with a high ankle sprain.cwhich is why he skipped the Senior Bowl.

As they just said on the fan, if you run a 4.9, you will look slow compared to Garett's 4.6...at that size....to me, not a big deal, when you only need to run 10 yards at the most.

Plus he has size to collapse the pocket, which Watt and Harris did not have. Collapse the pocket is as good as sacks sometimes.

Living in Michigan I saw all the Wolverine games. Trust me when I say this: The Boys have something special here, and I'm not a Michigan fan. He had ankle problems most of last year, yet some games he could not be blocked. I was saying to myself, it would be nice to have him come to the Boys. Now my prayer is answered. He doesn't look like he runs fast but he ate breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in the opposing teams backfield (against good teams). This guy just started coming into his own last year and now he is fully healthy. I saw him rush well at both sides of the line. He has a very quick spin move for a 6-6 guy. I love the pick. No doubt in my mind he will be the Boys best rusher this year.

I was impressed with him at Michigan too. Like you said he stayed in the other team's backfield. I'm not sure why people hate the pick. Maybe they aren't really familiar with him.

Greg Ellis had 84 sacks. That is where I'm placing the line. Are you over or under?

His problem is his complete lack of explosiveness. You can't teach a guy how to be explosive. Reminds me of Greg Ellis. Good player, good against the run, good at holding the point of attack, but nothing great, nothing that makes you game plan for him. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong.

I understand the sentiment, but at 28 we're basically gettin high second rounders.

Think of it this way... Did you at least see a good player when you were watching his highlights?

Because that's kind of what we need. Load up Pedigree on the DL.

That's great but many others are saying Irving and he are same guy with Irving maybe even being better. I'm all for wait and see and at this point it's a crap shoot but I thought a Taco pick was "meh". Not a bad pick per se and a contributor but not a "stud" in my book. I'd love to be wrong and get free tacos when he gets a sack
You tend not to find "studs" in the late first

Eh, buddy of mine who lives in Michigan and is a fan just said, "He was a good college player." I didn't think that was inspiring lol.
