I work until 5:45 and on Thursday it starts at 4:30, Friday at 3:30. Saturday morning I get to wake up at 7:00 to watch it.

I'll try to watch/keep up on-line at work but 4 to 5 is our busiest time.

Tell the Johns to watch the draft w/ you

absolutely hate it.

theres no need to draw out the whole process for 3 days

not only is it to drawn out but people have lives. everyone doesnt have time at various times over the course of 3 days to sit there watching the draft.

this idea will be one and done. after they get a bunch of complaints it will be changed back to a 2 day format next year.

I hate it.

Draft weekend has always been an escape from the entire universe occasion for me. Over time those that know me best have realized that they might as well consider me stranded on a deserted island for that entire weekend and that's just how I like it.

I like the intense focus that two solid days of nothing but draft allows. The NFL draft is the single most enjoyable sports event for me every year.

It's the one event that by it's very nature is only for the diehards and now they are trying to mainstream it too. I feel like they are stealing something special away from me.

I love the draft, which is why I like doing a couple of rounds per day instead of turning the 1st round into its own separate thing but I'll give it a shot.

My main problem is that new format has nothing to do with actually making the draft better for the fans, it is entirely commercially driven. They want it to be American Idol and I want to sit in front of the TV like a law researcher and look up info on guys as they are picked.

this will change next year i guarantee you.

it is a stupid format financially.

the draft has been growing largely because it competes with nothing on the weekend it occurs.

primetime numbers will be poor and friday night numbers will be abysmal.

hardcore draftniks will watch it and teams with very high picks but you do not grow an audience competing in prime time two nights.
