There is a very famous saying that doesn't come from nowhere and goes back a long time:

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Ok.. So drunk girls don't get into fits of rage, and throw glass and run at their man.. Nice...

Speaking of which a twenty year old woman in Cincinnati just recently decapitated her three-month old baby...
Does the father have an alibi?

From the bits and pieces I've read on this case, Hardy seems to fit into the second category. I do think there was some provocation on the woman's part, but a reasonable individual is able to handle such provocation without doing the things Hardy has been alleged of doing.

But that is the whole issue, there is no credible evidence whatsoever that Hardy ever touched her. There was evidence at the bench trial in the testimony of the accuser but she has so many contradictions in her testimony (along with admitting drug use) that she has zero credibility going forward. I spent a lot of time reading the articles on this, going back to January because Hardy is exactly what the defense needs. And I said from the start that with all his physical gifts, I didn't want him on the team if he was someone that beats women. All the posts I've made on this topic are because I haven't seen anything at all (that is credible) pointing to him having done what he was accused of.

And to tangent off a tangent, I haven't keep up with the Adrian Peterson story but if the child abuse accusations are true I don't want him on the team either. I wouldn't stop watching the team if they did bring him in, but I wouldn't do it if I was the GM.

OScandrick was allowed to practice and play in the pre-season games last year after he was suspended for the first four games in early August.

Thanks. I was just thinking about Josh Brent's situation where he couldn't have contact with the team until like week 8 (or 10, whichever).

That still might be the case. Oscan was drugs and this would be Personal Conduct.

That would be a huge blow if it were true. Hardy needs camp to learn the ropes from Hayden.

Of course she isn't the best witness, most coke heads are not. I do not believe she is an angle but I do believe she is the victim. I do believe he is guilty and would put it at about 80% and would not declare him innocent by any means which is exactly what the judge from the first trial did. I understand where you are coming from but I feel that you are to much in the sense of going exactly by the law. I feel like you would say not guilty to OJ because the glove didn't fit.

Not quite fair. That trial was pretty transparent..This one was not and no one here has seen any evidence or hear the orignial arguments verbatim. But yes, ultimately you have to go by the law, if not there is a slippery slope to burning someone who floats as a witch and those that drown as exonerated.

LOL, in all honesty I am hoping he didn't do much wrong because no matter what this is my team and I will root for him to do the best for my team but I will not sit here and try to defend him when a good amount of me feels that he did some bad things. If not all the better.....night

Alright time to go see an 80s hairband on the Strip. Listening to songs like "Hard as a Rock" and "Smooth up In ya" after this discussion seems about right. I love Irony

make sure you guys get this thread locked...be a shame to check in at 2am and this one is still going

Oh my god....your a little late to the party. I don't want to go through EVERYTHING AGAIN for another one.....go back and read

You posted the youtube of Holder's attorney and said that it proves there was an agreement. In it Holder's attorney states taht they are considering a civil suit indicating very clearly that at least at that time there was no agreement between Hardy and her. Further we know that she had to be compelled by subpoena to testify on that day so we know that at least on that day she was refusing to cooperate with no agreement in place.

What you are doing here is what i call google sophistry. You have your conclusion and you are googling furiously in an effort to prove it. It's easy to tell when people do it because they post things that seem like they might say something but in fact on examination say something completely else and contradictory. What i get from your quote here is that you don't want to google again and i for one say thank you for that.

The day Goodell gets fired is the day we can all at least agree unanimously on a decision and celebrate...

They probably thought they loved each other at some point. It was stupid and naive more than sinister.

He supposedly dumped her way back. But she kept coming back now and than giving him free booty calls, trying to get back with him.

That's my take on it.

I'm in the same boat. There have been a lot of players on the roster over the years that I've felt uneasy about rooting for. Josh Brent, frankly, is among them. Greg Hardy joins the list.

But he's on the team, and I hope he's able to get to the QB and stay out of trouble.

Here's the rub. You can thank the salary cap for a move like this. The cap, in good part, forced us to cut ultimate-good-guy DeMarcus Ware. A year later, we've found his replacement -- a player we could afford only because of his off-the-field issues.

I don't know that I agree with that. I think that if it would have been Mario Williams instead of Hardy this year that Jerry would have been in on the first day of free agency and ponying up a 6 year $15m AAV contract. I think we haven't done that in the past because we had Ware making his 10% of the cap total. We clearly value the position. And if you look at the teams contracts we have nothing invested in defense really especially moving forward. Lee and Scandricks deals notwithstanding.

I think we can thank the fact that we do not pay age anymore that we can offer contracts to the young talent that matches need that comes up in FA.
