Again, nothing original or proven or factual. Just parroting the lemming "lock step" talking points your being fed by the media.

Give me an instance, JUST ONE, where T.O. has done or said ANYTHING detrimental to this team that was outside his burning desire to win. I already gave you that his mouth perhaps "runneth over" his brain. But even then, why? Because he wants to win and is frustrated.
Who of you out there is not equally frustrated? Huh? Anyone out there satisfied with this debacle? This team needs more T.O.'s who lose sleep at night over this joke.
Unless your satisfied with what you've seen the last two years, you have no choice but to agree with the FEW TIME'S that Owens has voiced his frustrations.
Again, I'm waiting for the evidence..............show us when and where Terrell Owens has been out of line or has been a "team wrecker" or a locker room nightmare". I'm waiting..............

So everyone who wants to win should just come out and imply that his offense coach isn't getting the job done or his quarterback isn't getting the job done?

Just out of curiosity, what other receiver has constantly run to the media this year to complain about this?

just so you don't get too defensive(i know you t.o. fanboys get real upset) like i said i want his buddies tank and pacman gone too. now on to Owens

#1 he talks too much whether it's negative or positive

#2 he threw his qbs under the bus with his "i can't throw it and catch it myself" comment publicly

#3 he threw his coaches(oc) under the bus publicly

#4 he drops too many passes for a "#1 wr"

#5 he has stunted Romo's growth as a qb and our team with us trying to force the ball to him due to reason #6

#6 he complains about getting passes too much including after getting 18 passes thrown to him in the 1st skins game(that we lost)

#7 guy is a 220 pound muscle freak but has major trouble getting off of jams by 185 pound cornerbacks

#8 even if it was made up drama(the him/romo/witten thing) it was in the media because of him. they don't do that with any other wr.

more to come if you would like.

Regardless of what people think, Owens is right, we get him the ball, we win. When we don't we lose.

We got him the ball 6 times yesterday. Did we win?

It's surprising and amazing that you guys don't get it.

Do you think maybe that Romo can't get T.O. the ball because he's under immense pressure?

Do you think maybe he doesn't get the ball because he's not open?

Naaahhh!

It's as simple as getting T.O. the ball, and we win.

I'm still waiting for ANY concrete evidence or example of Owens doing or saying ANYTHING untrue or out of line concerning this team.........
Everything he said appears to be true. Look at the results.
Somehow or other, if T.O. says it "out loud", it's controversial and "open for interpretation". Usually to his detriment.
After the Eagle game, "confusion, no timing, no chemistry, misplaced priorities, bad decisions, uninspired play, bad coaching", and basically "what the frig are we doing" comes to mind. T.O. just says it out loud, and THAT alone is reason to "get rid of T.O."
Never mind that WE ALL THINK THE SAME THING!!!! Thank God we have someone ACTUALLY ON THE TEAM who thinks what we fans think. Thank God for T.O........................

If we sent him packing and became a run oriented team with Austin as the #2 guy and Martellus Bennett getting more action in 2 TE sets with Witten I wouldn't hate it at all. Save the cap money.

If we keep him, I won't hate it either. I'm not the guy's biggest fan, but he wants to win and he's talented.

thats it...

We can win with him.....and if we adjust we probally can win without him.

But I dont know if we can adjust....Defenses keyed on him this year...bumped him and had a safety shadow.....yet we didnt adjust....or the other players didnt make enough plays.

Getting rid of TO wont make Romo make better decisions IMHO.

IMHO having TO should of made this offense more potent......was last year when teams didnt figure Garrett out.....now all of a sudden.....Garrett doesnt adjust...Romo makes bad decisions and ....its TO fault for being a cancer and asking for the Ball....

I just dont understand that logic

Players that were suppose to step up....didnt IMHO.

Expect another excuse coming as to why those points aren't valid.

Wait. Wait. I see someone adjusting their T.O.-colored glasses and he's ready to respond. ;)

Funny how other teams in the league are able to thrive and win championships without the benefit of his services, yet somehow he's indispensable to Dallas. Yep, very funny indeed.
Brilliant logic you're using here. They're also often able to do it without a Pro Bowl QB (Tony Romo) or Pro Bowl TE (Jason Witten) or a 20-sack DE/OLB (DeMarcus Ware). Cut da bums LOLZ ROFLMAO!!11!!!

What's "very funny" is that T.O. was one of the main catalysts on our 13-win team of 2007 and looked at as an ESSENTIAL cog... but because the offense fell off in 2008, he's suddenly the problem? It was HIS fault we couldn't counter what the Eagles did to us yesterday? Are Romo and Witten dispensable too?

I agree 100% with the OP.

Could we win without Owens if we become a more run-oriented team? It's possible. Depends on if our OL can consistently open holes for our RBs. Also depends on if our D can play well and consistently for 16 games. They can't tail off (like they do at various points every year) if we are to become more of a run-oriented team.

But that's a different issue altogether. It's not Owens' fault we signed him, and it's not Owens' fault that we're underachieving. He's one of the hardest workers and best players on the team... and if you don't think his #1 objective is to WIN you're simply not paying attention.

Usually i defend T.O.

But this is reality here.. We all know this team is weak minded.. Why do they need the distractions? They don't because they cant handle them

He epitomizes the selfish, me-first attitude that is pervasive on this team.

Oh, he may work out in practice hard. But many times this season when things haven't been going the Cowboys way, there's T.O. on your TV screen telling us it aint his fault. He can only run the routes. He can't throw the passes to himself. Or, if they get me the ball, we will win. Or, the scheme isn't the right one.

T.O. is representative of a larger problem which, IMO, hampers the Cowboys. We aren't a team. We're a collection of individuals.

When no-name receivers in Miami are getting open, catching balls from a noodle-armed quarterback and contributing to 11 wins and our star-studded receiving corps and Hollywood quarterback can't muster but 9 wins, you know somethings wrong.

Ahhhhhh, this explains your defense of Cris Carter in the other thread.

Makes perfect sense now.

You people are a trip.

WR's have always asked for the Ball....Harrison...Moss...Smith...etc always do.....having WR's go to their OC in private meetings is common in this league....happens all the time.......we hear about it more because Dallas is what sells in the media......just because it isnt front page news from ESPN doesnt prove it doesnt happen in the NFL.

We heard it for several weeks from the WR's......it took Romo the end of the year to admit the same thing...

Is Romo wrong too?

TO wasn't playing defense when they gave up 27 points through 2 quarters.

Never mind that WE ALL THINK THE SAME THING!!!! Thank God we have someone ACTUALLY ON THE TEAM who thinks what we fans think. Thank God for T.O........................

Meanwhile the teams in the playoffs, the Steelers and Giants and Vikings and Eagles and Chargers all had reasons at one point or another in this season to criticize one of their teammates or "TELL IT LIKE IT IS" or "SAY IT OUT LOUD."

But did you hear Roethlisberger ("IF THEY WOULD HAVE BLOCKED FOR ME I WOULDN'T HAVE A CONCUSSION") or Manning ("IF PLAXICO WASN'T SO STUPID WE COULD MAKE ANOTHER RUN") or Peterson ("IF WE HAD A FREAKIN QUARTERBACK, WE WOULD BE IN THE PLAYOFFS BY NOW") etc?

No. You know why?

Because those players understand TEAM and know that they don't air their dirty laundry in public. Most tight-knit families don't talk about private matters in public. They resolve those things in-house.

But what does T.O. do?

He goes public. And his apologists think this is normal behavior and team-oriented behavior?

But where is T.O. and this team sitting? AT HOME, while all those other teams have overcome adversity AS A TEAM are are in the playoffs.

You don't see because you don't want to see.

Both ex-NFL players and ex-coaches have commented ad nauseum about team chemistry and how popping off to the media can be an added distraction for a team.

But somehow our fans can't get it through their thick skills how this can impact a team or establish a culture for a team.

Bottom line is this: T.O. is sitting home for the post-season, along with his me-center teammates. While other teams whose players understand team loyalty and keeping problems in-house are playing in the post-season.

That's all the evidence you should need. But somehow, you'll just keep making excuses.

Are you following the conversation?

Please, invest some time in reading and understanding what it is we're talking about before you add an irrelevant factoid to a discussion in progress.

No. You know why?

Because those players don't play for the Dallas Cowboys and aren't on ESPN's hit list

Thought I would fix it up for you.
