In my best Mike Tyson voice, so many of you are scared cowards.

Screw it, you're right. In my best "guy from the Five Hour Energy commerical" voice...

"Let's do this!"

First if all, there is no difference between the third week of January and the fourth week of January in Wisconsin. It's going to be freaking cold. Second, any team playing GB wants it to be as cold as possible. GB isnt built to win games in the wind and snow.

As one writer has pointed out, Aaron Rodgers had no problem throwing the ball all over the place and putting up 45 points on the Giants last Christmas, in frigid conditions.

We'd have to pass both SF and NO, and neither has a terribly difficult schedule. It's possible, but extremely unlikely, that we'll be in the hunt for a bye. The one thing we do have going for us is that we control all the tiebreakers.

If all three teams end up 12-4, we'll get the bye. If things fall correctly, only one of our last five games will be against a team with anything to play for. I would say that it is definitely a possibility.

teams with nothing to play for are often more dangerous

If we win at Arizona, they lose vs. GB, a win over them in our stadium will win the division. If we were to lose out after that and they were to win out, it would come to the tie breakers...

1. Head to Head: Split

2. Division Record: Both 3-3

3. Common Games:
New England: +1 Giants
49ers: Even
Eagles: +1 Giants
Seahawks: Even
Jets: +1 Giants
Commanders: Even

4. Conference Record: 7-5 Cowboys...5-7 Giants

We win

Not at the end of the season, though. The reality sets in and guys pack it in. It always seems like the number of blowouts increase in the final weeks of the season, partly because of this issue.

No way we get the Eagles or Bucs best shots if they are mathetically eliminated late in December. No freaking way.

The Giants game last night against the Saints was similar to the Cowboys beatdown by the Eagles.

I don't think either one has much significance. If we put pressure on Eli, we win. If not, he has good receivers and will pick us apart and we have to win a shootout. Home or away, it will be the same.

You must have been watching two completely different games.

It's like watching two different fights and seeing a flash down and comparing it to a straight out trashing.

We received a flash down, and simply couldn't recover from it. The Giants simply got beat up. They've lost 3 of their last 3 games, and there is a reason for it. They aren't a great team. They're the last line of defense for the cowboys winning the division title, so you have to make them out to be more than they really are. You don't want to think that it could be easier than you want to believe it to be.

The Giants aren't a special team. They just happen to be on our schedule.

It knocks the Giants out of contention, but we still need another win or a Philly loss to clinch.

The Race maybe over when the Cowboys and Giants face off in two weeks. If the Cowboys win and have at least a 2 game lead then the division will be the Boys.

I think that might be true earlier on in the season, but I think closer to playoff time, a lot of these teams give up. Sometimes they play spoiler, but I don't think that is necessarily often.

You're right about the Eagles if they win out. I forgot all about em.

No way they win out tho.

Murray separates his shoulder and leads team to stirring victory. Fantastic.

I know what you are talking about and everything, but you still scared the heck out of me with this comment.

Even if Philly wins out, they don't control their destiny. If we beat the Giants once, Arizona, and Tampa Bay... we win the division.

I am predicting we won't beat NY at home.

I will say this, that could be a very tough game to win. If everything goes as it should, we'll be 2 games up with a 5-game winning streak while the Giants are on a 4-game losing streak with their backs against the wall. On primetime. Hard to believe the Giants won't give it everything they've got in that situation.

They're on the ropes and reeling. Green Bay can give them a flurry of hits to the abdomen, and we'll bring in the finishing upper cut.

Tuck said in an interview yesterday that they are already thinking about how they've fallen apart at the end of the last two seasons. Specifically he mentioned, "It's impossible to not think about it."

That team is ready to pack it in as soon as the first few things go against them just like the end of 2008 when they quit in back to back games.

It's a good theory I still think the Giants can beat the packers if healthy ( bradshaw back ) I dont count out coughlin but I think Osi is hurt so it wont be easy for them, nothing is set in stone in this division we just need to beat AZ this weekend and see what happens.

With Umenyiora out it will be tough sledding. Paul and Tuck remain but Rodgers is yet another in a series of quarterbacks that can give their defensive line fits. Rodgers has it all, escapability, accuracy, quick release and receivers who run well after the catch. I'm sure the first half will see New York amped up but this game could slowly but surely get away from them in the same way it happened in New Orleans. Those two teams can put so much pressure on an opposing teams offense to keep up. You don't want to get into a track meet with these two teams, not in the first half anyway. One thing that might keep the Giants in it is GBay's pass defense. Eli will have some shots if they can protect well. New Orleans does'nt really pressure the quarterback well, with Will Smith being their chief troublemaker; they did'nt really get Manning until the final throes of the fourth quarter. Moreover, that was against New York's patchwork offensive line. They probably won't have Bradshaw for this one either. If the Packers bring more heat than New Orleans did, it could get ugly very quickly. You never want to count out a Tom Coughlin team at home with their backs to the rack but they really look over matched in this one. However, they do get them at home. What that will ultimately mean is another matter.

Exactly, what are the chances of a 4-7 team winning it's last five?
