Weeden got us into overtime, but once there the offense didn't even get on the field. Hard to blame Weeden for that.

it's no wonder he has a losing streak. his pocket presence is really not good.

but this is another week of the defense not holding leads and not getting off the field.

Dude has zero pocket presence.

I watched three balls that should have been picked off -- easy, straight-on, in-both-hands passes -- not turn into interceptions tonight. For us to have a good defensive night, just about each one of those has to get picked off. Twice the ball fell incomplete, and once the pick was wiped out because of penalty.

It's cliche, but we're not good enough to overcome missed opportunities like those.

We also gave them 3 points with 12 men on the field...I knew that was going to haunt us

I've been a supporter of his talent, but his idiocy is getting under my skin.

We are awful defensively because the system requires talent.

It is not a system that will be able to sustain itself outside of optimal conditions.

That is just the simple reality and explains why we act like we are waiting to be rescued.

Bad thing is, I don't think Hardy or McClain make a ton of difference.

This is the fear, hopefully Randy coming back as well as the others can help that pass rush and MLB position that needs size and play making ability.

First sign of pressure he backpedals. He had a couple opportunities to step up into the pocket

A couple of clear opportunities that the average joe qb would have taken advantage of. It's pretty baffling but I guess that's why he is who he is. Zero feel in the pocket. The tackles force their guys outside so you can step up in that crease. Pocket presence 101...

All tho he (Weeden) has played decent the last 2 weeks, i have to say i've watched a lot of the all 22 film from last game and a few times tonight where Weeden is only reading half the field and not looking the other way. on the 3 good down field throws and the touch down at the end when they went to the opponent end zone shot you could see him looking both ways and finding right person that was open. on most other plays i saw him locking on to one side of the field and specifically a WR on that side thus holding ball too long or not completing passes. sorry but i think he's done a good job but i would like to see him and Cassel battle it out this week let coaches determine who's best (Which I'm hoping is Cassel) and at least start putting cassel with 1st team see what he can do.

Yeah, we're going up against the champs next week, so we are going to have to do something different on offense. I don't think 20 points is going to do it.

Also, we could have won this game if our DBs could catch a ball that is thrown right to them. Hopefully they will work on that this week because we are unlikely to beat the Pats without getting turnovers.

Until Romo and Dez come back, this team will have difficulty beating anyone without forced turnovers from the defense.

I don't think The Weeds has played terrible for a backup so far. He hasn't played great either. He has protected the ball and overall tonight I see improvement over last week.....

However, I also can't say he gives us the best chance to win next week either.

Is his lack of passing threat hurting the running game or is the lack of running game hurting his ability to throw the ball?
I will say that teams are playing the run and this should make throwing easier...but it doesn't seem to be making our passing success that much better.
Weeden can do enough to not lose the game for you if your defense and running game are firing efficiently. Ours isn't. We need a spark somewhere.

Weeden had very little to do with this. He played well enough that's expected for a backup QB to play and give his team a chance to win.

We can't run the ball when we need to, and our defense is swiss cheese right now due to our inability to dominate the TOP.

Oh, and there's probably 8 significant contributers that are hurt right now. We're 4 weeks into the season.

Whatever our offseason plan was, it was an epic failure.

Weeden hasn't been a positive or a negative.. Cowboys coaches have totally nullified him with their gutless game plans.

I disagree, Weeden made several deep passes in the game. Weeden is limited as there was times I notice him struggle to read defenses.
