Yeah, we're going up against the champs next week, so we are going to have to do something different on offense. I don't think 20 points is going to do it.

Also, we could have won this game if our DBs could catch a ball that is thrown right to them. Hopefully they will work on that this week because we are unlikely to beat the Pats without getting turnovers.

Well, Parcells was considered a conservative, ball control coach, who wanted to grind it out and win it in the end. However, I remember what he said before a game we had against a high-powered Eagles offense...."we have to score with them". We won that game in a blow out. I miss that dude.

Weeden made the game winning throw.

I suggest anyone who calls for his benching for basically the same player is an complete imbecile.

I think his "handlers" are handling him a bit "too" well...and I think it caught up with them. They have to find a balance between aggression and prudence. Linehan had some puzzling stretches, especially in the final thirty minutes. Losing Dunbar doesn't totally get him the hook. They probably should have gone to Weeden's left more often, which would have reduced the pressure somewhat on Williams. Otherwise you effectively cut the field in half for the opposing secondary. I like what I saw on the final possession (empty set)...makes me wonder why they waited so late to take the wraps off the intermediate routes. What you saw on the final possession should have been the game plan from the start of the second half.

Weeden is a lost cause. Nice guy but he is sadly a loser at football. In my opinion even as a backup you dont want a this type of guy there. He just seems like to me he should be out selling HVAC units. I dont know what it is about him but he isnt a leader of men. If Cassel is a leader get his rear in the game ASAP. Ill take my chances. Hell, if Kellen Moore is a leader type, get him in too. He won a crapton of games in College. I want winners leaders starting at QB. We know what Weeden is....not enough.

He was walking on water waiting to get to his moment!

In all seriousness, he didn't play bad tonight but that is the best that Dallas will get out of him and that is not good enough. Time to see if someone else can produce more points.

Weeden didn't play all that bad people... I know you want to blame him, but the finger should go squarely on that offensive line. Yuck!

What will happen:
Cowboys start Weeden against the Pats and we get killed.
Weededn looks bad and get benched after the game.
Cassel has 2 weeks to prep for the giants.

What should happen:
Cowboys bench Weeden now.
Play Cassel against the Pats, and give him some game experience and time to build some chemistry (we still most likely lose)
Then Cassel has another 2 weeks to prep for the giants.

The Cowboys season comes down to three games now, while Romo is out.
Giants, Eagles, and Bucs.
They have to win at least 2 of those to have any shot at the division when Romo comes back.
It sucks that we could have won both of these last two games had the defense played a little better.
So who gives us the better chance against those three teams Weeden or Cassel.
If its Cassel, then throw him in now.

If it is a blowout , then I think we will see Cassel for at least a quarter to get him that game rep experience

Where were those passing plays the last 115 minutes of football?
Was nice to see deep pass plays called

We are awful defensively because the system requires talent.

It is not a system that will be able to sustain itself outside of optimal conditions.

That is just the simple reality and explains why we act like we are waiting to be rescued.

Bad thing is, I don't think Hardy or McClain make a ton of difference.

Agree. They are the first line of defense, where we are hurting more is the second line with the safety play being a big negative at this point.

And we could just as easily be 0-4.

We've played very poorly this year. Very poorly.

Thats the sad state of affairs, we are lucky to have those 2 division wins under our belt, and have missed the opportunity to buy a little insurance with 1 out of the last 2 games

Weeden isn't a starter obviously. We can't expect him to come in and play like Romo and make all the plays. He did what he had to last night and gave us a shot in the end
