5 stages of grief. Stage 1 denial. That’s what we’re in. “He would’ve said Jason is still Garrett by now!” And “he’ll be gone by the 14th!” Just admit it guys. He’s going to be here next year. Damn
My man! How are you feeling bud? You juiced, or juicing?
I gotta tell ya, I'm enjoying this.

I think sometimes we a fans often forget about the human side of this. Regardless of how we feel about Coach Garrett he has a family and no doubt that the Jones know his wife and his kids by name they have been around the man for along time. To us it's about football to them about firing a man, A Friend. This is what happens when you mix business with friendship. It happens far too often in Dallas. Coaches stay around to long players that are beyond their prime
get over paid this is our Dallas Cowboys a billion dollar business being run like a mom & pops store. New Coach ? When do we get a new FO

I’m interested in knowing who you want as the coach of the Cowboys and why? Who do you not want?
I don't think it matters. I think the BTB mentality to where he will sell himself on the next as a brilliant move no matter what.

I want a guy who tunes the outside world out and gets the team to do the same, in-season.
I want a guy who can manage the flow of a game and get his men to make proper adjustments.
I want a guy who makes his troops run through walls.
I want a guy who can look at his opposing sideline and make an instant adjustment to win a play/game.

Who is that guy? I don't have that expertise. I only know what I want.

I'm a little more understanding than most of you.. I think this season was a gut punch for Jerry.. I really really think he, like all of us, thought we were on the cusp.. not just of playoffs but a deep run. I think he opened the cheque book and followed the information he got from his very trusted HC that they were coming to the end of the a very long 'process' and this would be it.

Jerry is a lot of things but at his core I truly think he loves this team and wants success. You could see in his face whilst he watched the last couple of weeks the disappointment and anger too.

So he gets to the end of this season and he knows that he has to fire/not retrain Garrett. His adopted son. He wakes up knowing that he probably threw his best chance of success out when he stabbed his other adopted sons (Romo and Dez) out.. on the say so of the same HC. He has spent 25 years grooming Garrett to be the best.. to lead the best team.. he has paid players again and again and again and again in the hopes of bringing success and yet.. nada. He has agents for Dak, Jones and Cooper (plus plenty more) banging down his door.. he probably knows that we need a lot of help on defence.. our draft position is weak and media is jumping all over every decision as being wrong. He has to face that his famous "jerry calls" have all, bar none, failed. This is a man that is used to success and now everything is failing around him. I don't care what face he puts to the media.. he is just like every other fan.. he knows this season is failure.

Right now he knows that Garrett has to go but it is like firing your own son.. it will be gutwrenching for them all and you have the media just waiting and waiting. He knows he has to pay Dak but is also aware that the dude just may not have it and he will be judged. I don't think he is enjoying this one bit. I really don't. I think Jerry wanted to be parading around with his wonderkid QB Dak, his HOF coach Garrett and preparing for playoffs and superbowls. I am fearful he won't have the guts to follow through but I do believe Jerry knows what he has to do now.

I see nothing wrong with allowing Garrett to conduct player exit interviews and thank guys individually and wish them well. What possible harm is there? How is this dysfunctional in any way? Does anyone actually think today or tomorrow, this week or next week, actually has any impact on the team or the offseason?

I’ll be feeling pretty good if Jerry let’s Garrett back cause ill be turning in my fan card for this team
Yeah, but your fan card is always kind of wavering in the air already.

What would "turning in your fan card" actually mean?

You get worse around these parts, or you stop posting here?

True, Jerry is a major problem not just coaching everything has to be about Jerry
