The official hang Bledsoe thread

Troy was not a bus driver. That's ridiculous. Yes, I'm still on my elite QB trip and I won't change my opinion on it. Don't like it, don't read it.

Not Troy and not Roger who could be dazzling. Now Danny White may have been a taxi driver but at least he was a NYC taxi driver and not a bus driver. But is it possible to find an elite with out going through a decade of searching?

Aikmans' HOF introduction, Norv said he'd take him over anyone to win a big game. That isn't a bus driver, that's a race car driver.
Yet he never won a "big" or "little" playoff game after the GREAT TEAM around him collapsed.

TROY W/O THE GREATS SURROUNDING HIM
• Jan. 9, 2000 - NFC Wild Card - Minnesota 27, Dallas 10
• Jan. 2, 1999 - NFC Wild Card - Arizona 20, Dallas 7
• Jan. 5, 1997 - NFC Divisional - Carolina 26, Dallas 17

OOPS

I know you have, and I have too. I do not know why this guy has strong defenders.

I do not know how else to put, but Dallas absolutely positively will not win anything of consequence with him at the helm.

I agree whole-heartedly about Drew Bledsucks. He's a waste of time because he's an over-rated has-been. That's why I wanted to trade him on draft day to Cleveland for a 4th round draft pick and then draft a 'real qb'.

What surprises me is this is usually the time of year he excels.

I didn't think it'd take me one week to say this, and maybe I'm the one jumping to conclusions now, but I'm ready to see the pup. Bring on Romo.
He only excels when he plays against inferior opponents. Just wait, he'll play like a superstar against Houston and Tennesee, but he'll fall apart against good defenses.

3 games define his entire resume' for you? Oops is right. I put more credence in Norv Turner and NFL history. By that I mean 3 things. XXVII, XXVIII, & XXX.

Call me fickle.

QBs are measured by championships. Now name all those QBs who have won more than three. Short list.

WITH PROBOWLERS & HOF EVERYWHERE.

The ones i gave you were what "an elite" superman would have pulled out. Toss in his '91 loss too... you guys pretend he was an "automatic" in teh playoffs and was the greatest QB ever. ROTFLMAO. He was the right QB for the right system with a DYNASTY surrounding him for a few years.

Pay no attention to that fact that those are the 3 games when he didn't have a HOF caliber offensive line or RB in his prime.

And as an aside, what has Norv Turner acheived without the talent of the early 90's Cowboys?

Regardless, we deserve what we get. We signed him, we started him, we never really gave anybody else a chance to compete and Drew Bledsoe is our QB like it or not.

I wouldn't have traded Bledsoe to the Browns for a pick and signed McNair. He does have health issues, but when he's healthy, he's top notch. We could have drafted a young qb for him to mentor. Then we would be winning and developing a future starter at the same time.

Yet guys like Jimmy Johnson, Michael Irvin, Norv Turner, and Emmitt Smith (among others) disagree with you about his worth and talent.

Hmm.

No sale, stop pitching it to me because I'm NEVER going to buy it. It's a waste of your time to even suggest it. There isn't even a device to measure how useless I deem this thinking. Nothing can measure that small.

I skipped to the end of this thread and didn't read anything before this point, but... how did a Bledsoe thread morph into a "bashing one of the two greatest Cowboy quarterbacks" thread?

who cares what you're buyign or what some guys close to Troy say about it?

lol.

gotta love jimmy & norv's contributions to football after their HOF/Probowl player coaching came to an end.

Where are all the Bledsoe is a Hall of Famer crowd when you need them?
I think their manning the suicide hotline for the 'he's the best qb we've had since Aikman crowd'.:lmao2:

I care about what they say over what you post. At least they have skins on the wall. Nuff said.

We need to seriously have an IQ test or something before you register for this forum.

A rookie "real QB" would have thrown 8 ints today and we wouldnt have scored a point. Drew certainly isn't the greatest QB in the world, but he's been to probowls, thrown for 4000 yards more than a few times and is no stranger to the land of 20+ td passes a season. I'll take him over Romo, whatever rookie you want, or probably half the QBs in the league, thanks. Will he take a team on his back and get them to the superbowl? No. Will he be a decent QB? Most certainly. You guys all want the next Aikman RIGHT FREAKING NOW and apparently dont care about throwing away a season or two trying to find him. We did that already, and I'm freaking SICK of it. Not everyone can have a franchise QB. Make do with what you got in the meantime. Here's hoping that we draft a QB #1 next year.

It was the offensive line's fault don't you know!!!!

Of course it was, bad offensive lines follow him wherever he goes, just like a dark cloud.:D

Hostile said:
He didn't say that and Marino wasn't a bus driver.
but, but, but.... he didn't "championship" (well if you wanna call losing a superbowl being a champion then so is Drew B.)... that is how you measure QBs of course. LOL.
