He had a average day? I said as much yet i'm a Roy guzzler. Criticism is one thing. Putting this loss on his feet is another one.

If only stats told the whole story you'd have at least one wooden leg to try to stand on.

Let me know when you stop substituting a glance at the box score for watching the entire game.

Making plays when they matter is a big part of changing the game.

And its not just the drop. Its the fumble. Its not knowing what the hell is going on when the team was in hurry up mode at the end of the game when he was just jogging through the endzone without a clue of what to do. Its more than just a drop. Its the accumulation of multiple things.

So its Roy's fault that he asked Romo what the play was and he didn't repeat it? :laugh1: I just don't know. And I agree making plays when they matter is a big part of the game but in a game where it was 0-3 at halftime at that point any part of the game mattered. Especially when you couldn't score. Roy put us in position to score a field goal at the very least and didn't. But Nick Folk gets a pass. Forget the fact that up 3 changes the whole outlook on the game. No. That would be talking with sense.

Total BS. :lmao2:

I laughed out loud when He dropped the pass and looked at his hands and back at Romo as if he was looking to blame somebody
Yeah, what was that about? I thought he was blaming the lights.

Pathetic either way.

What are you talking about? I haven't even looked at the damn box score. I know he had a 100 yard game because Buck said so. You're criticizing me for my viewing of the game but you sound like someone who just watched BSPN for your opinion. Roy had a decent game today. He's not the reason for this loss. Nick Folk misses a field goal, Romo fumbles, Romo overthrows Bennett, pass rush didn't get to Rodgers as much as they should've, Austin dropped pass....goodness. Did you not see any of this or did you miss this? Or does this not even matter?

Yea I remember that. I was wondering if it was the lights but then I saw the replay and he looked like he saw the ball fine and even attempted to catch the ball with his hands.

Yea. Apparently he wasn't the only one who didn't hear it. We didn't convert on it. The o-line sure as hell looked like it didn't know what it was doing.

After Roy's untimely drop, they showed him on the sidelines without his visor on his facemask. My take was the visor caught glare from the lights and he couldn't see the ball.

Bad luck for him and the team, but this guy just doesn't seem anything like the hype I heard about him. He makes a play here and there but I doubt he is ever going to take over a game and win it.

He reminds me of the guy (we all knew him if we played sports) that had all the physical tools but just didn't have the killer mentality to really dominate.

You're clinging to the "100 yards" like its some magic bullet that automatically means a guy had a good game. Its not. If a good portion of those yards comes when the game is out of hand, those yards mean nothing. If the TD comes when the game is all but over, that TD is nothing more than padding the stats.

And yes, I've already stated that there is plenty of game to go around. But, just in case you haven't noticed, this thread is about the blame that Roy Williams owns.

Which is different from how they looked all game in what way?

Optimism for its own sake.

Nah, I don't think so. Until last week, Roy was absolutely bloody awful. Over the last two weeks he has been significantly better than absolutely bloody awful. He still has a very long ways to go and he very well may never get there.

But he and Romo have over the last two games connected more than ever before. Some of this has to do with the fact that teams are doubling up on Austin, but that's part of my point. Roy made two big mistakes today (in my mind the dropped pass was a much worse mistake) that were not a function of Roy and Romo not being on the same page.

Sorry, I didn't read the entire thread but did anyone discuss the ball he didn't catch that he started to make hand motions as if it was too high...and then they showed the replay and it was an EXTREMELY catchable ball??

Or was it my imagination that it seemed he was motioning as if the fault was Romo's throw???

Think he was blaming the lights. That's what it looked like to me and I think someone mentioned his visor being removed from his helmet later in the game.

Excuse one way or another.

Oh..gotcha...thanks. I had my family over for a visit so the sound was off.

Speaking of sound being turned off.

Do any DTV NFL Ticket folks get REALLY bad channel sound when watching the Ticket?

Lately our channels have been terrible. All you hear is the field and crowd noise. You can barely hear Troy and the Oompa-Loompa
