Yeah I didn't now to respond to that. Just can't give credit where credit is done. BTW, he played well against Arizona who has a decent defense. 8 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in the last three games.

Lawrence and Irving are doing their best to be that guy it seems.

They are, but they aren't inspiring like Dak. We need someone who can lead the charge on defense, sort of like Lawrence Taylor.

Dak is a baller, a great talent at THE premier, THE most important position in all of football (arguably all of professional sports). And is being paid a backup QBs salary

Soon that is going to change. And soon this team is going to be seriously hampered by the cap to do anything as Dak's salary will take up most of the cap (as it should)

If this franchise cannot take advantage of MASSIVE salary cap discounts from Dak and Zeke before they're rookie contracts are up, then I see very grim times ahead

Zeke won't play his second contract here IMO. Not sure what kind of cap hit we'd take by cutting Dez but he either needs to rework his deal or get gone as well.

Generally I agree, but please take a look at Romo's career.
Every year, the situation is different, when we were playing great then we are blessed without major injuries or coaching mistakes we have to punch it in. Jim Harbaugh and Kaepernick had a great team for 4 years but did not win the big one, and 49ers are rebuilding again now.

I still think we need to invest in a blue chip DT. The great ones have a trickle down effect on the rest of your defense and can be game wreckers in their own right.

They also provide toughness and attitude for your defense, something we're sorely lacking.

Not until Marinelli goes. He's allergic to good 1 tech DTs. He wants to puppy no one else wants.
