With no help around him, he is playing better than he ever did last year.

He is not bus driving this year, contrary to the laymen's analysis that prevails.
No he isn’t. He was amazingly top 4 in the NFL in each of the major efficiency stats last year (passer rating, completion percentage, interception percentage and yards per attempt. This year he is 13th, 16th, 15th and 23rd. He does have more on his plate than last year, a worse surrounding cast and a harder schedule... but even the most hardcore Dak slobberers can’t explain away that kinda drop.

And I bet you were in agreement with the surrounding talent, game manager narrative last year to down grade that amazing top 4 work.

So far this year, he's had an awful games, two poor games, an average game, and a good game yesterday.
Interesting...must be why he is 2nd in the NFL in Total QBR and tied for most Tds in the league. POOR. I know...stats...lol pesky things when they don't support your in depth football analysis.

Take it with a grain of salt. I am on a lot of forums... and this forum has by far the most deluded idiots on it. And it sucks because there are also some great posters on here...

I agree man. I know most of these idiots are trolls or fans of other teams.......I don't pay it any mind.

My boys a baller. On pace for 40 total TDs... with no line and a **** running game. What was that bull**** people were talking last year about he's a manager, getting carried by his running game? And to think people on here were asking for him to be replaced just last week... bafoons

EDIT: also doing it with the worst offensive coaching staff in the league
Preach brother! There ain't nothing cooler than hating on the Cowboys. Dak is the real deal. Wouldn't trade him for anybody.

Dak is our best player and I’m proud to have him as our QB. He’s having another outstanding year. He went toe-to-toe with Rodgers again yesterday and is now second in the league in total QBR. If only he had a better defense and coaching.

I agree but yesterday's game reminded me allot of games from the past with Romo

Dallas starts out good
QB scrambles and makes great plays
QB throws pass that bounces off receiver hands and ends up picked off. At times a pick 6
Defense plays good for 20 mins or so total
Dallas leading
Dallas losing
Dallas coming back
Dallas takes lead
Clock is mismanaged
Poor play calling
Opposing team wins at end since defense goes into ultra soft mode

I love Daks future .. I truly do.. but we have all seen Romos career get squandered .. will Dak be the next victim ?? I hope not

Agreed, It's been our QBs fault for losing for over a decade now. From one franchise QB to the next, regardless of the crap surrounding them let's blame the guy behind center. We're been good enough at that position to win championships for a long time. Everything around them melting down just cannot be overcome.

Dak Prescott is the real deal and just 24 years old. We've lucked into securing the most elusive position in sports for the foreseeable future. During the twilight of the Romo years you could feel the window closing with each lost opportunity and there was this sense of urgency to fix everything in the off-season to get things 'right' for one final run before spinning into QB abyss.

I no longer have that hallowing feeling surrounding the future of this team. We have a lot of work to do, especially on the defensive side of the ball, but this is a young nucleus that will continue to improve over time. We probably overestimated the readiness of this team to compete for championships after last season, but the franchise is still trending upwards. We went blow-for-blow with arguably the best QB of this era.

There's no such thing as a moral victory, but I'm proud of how Dak played. We unearthed a gem in the 4th round.
Between Garrett and the quarterback whisperer, poor Dak is fighting an uphill battle.

He is a second year QB and a 4th round draft pick at that. Nobody (well almost nobody) would try to claim he is a finished product this second. However, he is so far ahead of the 2nd year QB curve that it's almost laughable. He has plenty to work on and improve upon, but boy is he off to a great start. We should all be very happy that we're lucky enough to be in such a position.

I've never seen any other young QB held to the prime Aaron Rodgers standard in my life.
