The Passing Yards Leader has never won the Super Bowl

someone posted the stat not too long ago. This team was out scored 75 to 7 something like that to start the first 8 games? 10 games? Not really sure? But it’s a terrible stat which will ultimately pad the passing stats. It’s multiple things on offense. run, pass, score early, field position, red zone offense, efficiency, play calling. Exactly why this team desperately needs new coaching. That’s also where special teams and defense comes in.

All 3 phases wins Super Bowls. Not some gaudy offensive statistic.

Passing yardage leaders have reached the Super Bowl, once there the best team usually wins.
Not necessarily the best team. Problem is, that passing leader generally comes up against a disruptive D, and that's what beats him.

Not my job to do your research.

It was all over the boards all last season and in the offseason.

And since this thread wasn't specifically about Dak, your query appears to be quite nonsensical.
Your quote:
Yeah, but a lot of people are clamouring for Dak to put up more passing yards.
My research shows that no one has said they were clamoring for Dak to put up more passing yards. You're just throwing crap out there hoping no one would call you on it.

A couple passing yards leaders have reached the SB but they were passing by design. IE Manning , Ryan etc. The Boys passing seems out of desperation to me in games against the better teams because of the holes they've dug themselves into. Good teams score points and/or prevent the other team from doing so. Our stats don't translate to either.

We see high powered offenses get beat because they're 1 dimensional. Post season requires a good defense because the other team is going to usually have a pretty decent offense.
Are you sure? Someone on this very board just the other day told me this is a passing league and defense doesn't matter anymore!

That's obvious. However, you missed the point. If that top 5 O is one dimensional, they are unlikely to get to the super bowl.
And this is the key. One dimensional offenses are easy to beat in the NFL for these better teams.

I agree on stats but the top 5 in passing yards this season aren't doing so great.

That’s a very revealing graph.

Hahahaha what a ridiculously stupid post..

Do you have any idea how much garbage time this team has played this entire season?

Yeah, not a whole lot...think before you post
I was going to express a similar concept, though a bit less aggressively.

I'm not interested in conversing with you. Thank you for your time.

This season I haven't seen any of that, but in past seasons there have certainly been posters complaining that he didn't get enough passing yards.

I bet he was a Romo era Cowboys fan.
I'm a Romo fan. He should have left the game with 2 SB. His early career was badly mishandled especially oline and run support. This was from the draft zone. Someone advocated using the 1st pick on a WR. They're going to drop 21 to 22 m on Cooper and have Gallup. Can't spend a 1st on a luxury pick with 5 defensive starters and another 8+ backups who get significant snaps as FAs. Anyway someone else piped up with that one!

High flying, fast moving offense that can't consistently score TDs can actually hurt your winning chances. If a offense gets down field quickly and only score a FG, it doesn't give your defense chance to rest. And against a good running team, that's recipe for losing. We've been doing that recently. We move the ball fast getting chunk plays, only to end up kicking a FG or punting. Worse yet, we've been missing the FGs too.

We've been going for fgs when we should've been punting, at times too, so Maher misses and the other team starts at mid field.

Tony is the poster boy for proclaiming this is a team sport. You need more than just 1 superstar to get anywhere in this league.
