Yeah, just a 'small few' act this way. Hey, Lincoln 'started' the Civil War, too.

Sorry, but that post is pretty much dead on, and sadly, none of it is laughable.

Penn State kicker Fera transferring to Texas

Penn State kicker Anthony Fera will transfer to Texas, a source confirmed to ESPN.com’s Joe Schad.

The redshirt junior kicker has two years of remaining eligibility and will immediately compete for the Longhorns’ starting place-kicking and punting duties.

.....................................

Fera is the seventh Nittany Lion player who has elected to transfer following the NCAA’s sanctions against Penn State.

Texas A&M Fans Celebrate 1999 Alamo Bowl Victory Over Penn State

COLLEGE STATION, TX—Following the NCAA’s decision Monday to vacate all of Penn State’s wins from 1998 through 2011, thousands of Texas A&M students and fans poured onto campus in a frenzy of excitement to celebrate what has now been ruled as a victory for their team in the 1999 Alamo Bowl. “First thing we had to do was track down Coach [R.C.] Slocum—we found him at home mowing his lawn and immediately dumped Gatorade on him,” said 32-year-old former Aggie fullback Ja’Mar Toombs, standing in a streamer-strewn street below a banner reading “Congratulations, 1999 Alamo Bowl Champs.

That's a bit much.

Winning by default is much different than outscoring your opponent.

This can't be real. Is this for real? Why would anyone celebrate a forfeited game? There isn't any getting around the fact that you lost the game on the field.

Seriously though, this is from The Onion. Was this a made up article? It's got to be... right?

Yea, you are right, I didn't see it was from the Onion, .. it's not real.

Probably from someone who doesn't like Texas A&M.

Yes, so much that you just make blanket statements instead of actually refuting what is 'so wrong that is laughable.' Congratulations, you've earned zero credibility with people on the board with regards to the subject so far.

Is Schultz a police officer? No. He's a beancounter that oversaw the budgets of many departments involved with the University and one of them being the State College PD. He has no arresting power in the state of Pennsyvlania.

Did Paterno have a history of trying to coverup misdeeds involved with the football team? Yes, in the case of Dr. Vicky Triponey who had e-mail proof of this, when she wanted to do her job of disciplining players who got into trouble off the field, Paterno made it clear that he should be the only person able to punish the players and he would refuse to do any fundraising until Dr. Triponey was dismissed from her job as Chief Disciplinarian.

Did Paterno use e-mail? Yes, he did http://********.com/5923920/oops-joe-paterno-knew-how-to-use-email-after-all

Here's some brilliant twitter posts from some pro-Paterno and pro-PSU people after the NCAA handed down their discipline: Deadpin's Twitter Feeds from PSU faithful

Not to mention the numerous people I know, personally, that went to Penn State who still have this self centered 'we've been punished enough' type of reasoning. Combined with numerous phone calls into radio stations in shows from all sorts of formats from political talk to sports radio to comedy shows.

Yup, nothing to see here. Just a mirage. One big laughable mirage.

What those PSU honks supposed to say?

In light of the aftermath, Bill O'Brien has decided to put names on the back of the jerseys. He said he wants people to know who stayed with the program. Its probably a good idea. Maybe they will add the Nittany Lion to the helmet next. Roy, as an alum, what are your thoughts?

Im fine with it. O'Brien said he thinks the students deserve to be recognized for their hard work and dedication, and sticking together through these tough times. I can fully respect that. Names or no names, i don't see a huge difference in the way it affects how the players go out and play or how the coaches coach. I know some "traditionalists" may raise a stink about it, but it'll be alot of whining and griping over nothing. If nothing else, its a change in the way the program has done things in recent history, so that can only be a good thing right now.

I also understood and respected why Paterno wanted to leave the names off the jerseys to reinforce the "team" values to the players and fans, but like i said, one way or the other, i don't think it makes a bit of difference.

Other than the names and the ribbons, i don't see them altering the uniforms much though. I don't think you'll see the Nittany Lion on the helmets anytime soon.

Never was a Paterno fan, but always respected the PS football program.

I am one of the traditionalists that you speak of, so I totally agreed with not putting names on the jerseys, .. and their uniforms may be my favorite in college football. If I were a PS fan I would not like putting the names on now.

Nothing fancy, just win.

I still agree with your last statement.. i just don't think putting names on the back is a big deal. They are still the same plain uniforms that they've always been. I don't see how adding a name to the back makes them "fancy". I understand how some people would be a little upset over it, but i just don't see it as a big deal.

I suggested this earlier in the post. I also don't think it fancy to add names. I think it's a good way to move PSU in a different direction. Good, bad or indifferent, Paterno has always been associated with plain uni's. I think you can still maintain tradition, and give O'Brien an affirmation that this his era, and his team now by adding the names at least.

Feds probe possible Sandusky child porn ring

U.S. Postal inspectors are leading a federal investigation into whether former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky shared child pornography with other individuals, CBS News has learned.

Analyzing a computer seized from Sandusky, investigators are also looking into whether he sent "seductive letters" across state lines for sexual purposes. Some of these letters were said to be sent to some of his sexual abuse victims.

CBS News has learned that at the end of 2011, allegations were forward by the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. that Sandusky used the mails to seduce individuals to cross state lines for sexual purposes, with trips and gifts offered. Investigators are looking at 6-7 victims who might have gotten letters.

Also in March of this year, U.S. Postal inspectors were tasked to investigate The Second Mile charity, which was founded by Sandusky. That investigation is on hold, awaiting for documents to be released by the State Attorney.

A source has been told that child pornography was found in at least one of Sandusky's computers. According to the source, there is no evidence that the pornography was of his victims. There is also no mention of a ring or sharing of boys with others.

The investigation is being carried out of the U.S. Postal Inspectors office in Harrisburg, Pa. and the U.S. Attorney Office of the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

"I haven't heard a thing about this latest allegation," Sandusky's attorney Joe Amendola, told CBS News. "Jerry continues to maintain his innocence. We think the allegation is ridiculous."
