He was headed for a 900 yd season before he tore up his knee in 21.

Brooks? You think Brooks is better than Gallup? That is too crazy to call crazy. Brooks is big, and that's it. He lacks the traits to play at an NFL level.
Hello?!?! Anybody home?

I could care less about what Gallup did in 2020. What has he done lately?

And yes I'll say this...who right this moment has bigger upside? Right now, Jalen Brooks is showing more promise for the future and even if Gallup is slightly better overall, I can probably get 80% of Gallup's productivity for one-tenth of the money.

Last season it was Schultz. This year, ummm, Turpin. Dude looks explosive but has poor vision and could have easily taken at least 1 to the house.

Possibly, but Brooks is not an NFL starter.

Your Hello thingie was very weak. You can do better.

I hold out hope for any player Dallas adds. I don't realistically expect them to all make it in the NFL, but I don't like to have preconceived biases entering into a new season. I've seen players that had looked like they wouldn't amount to much go on the have nice NFL careers and some that looked like they were going to have good careers suddenly tank. I think having players who don't do it for you just sets you up to look at that player in a negative light no matter what. You may not feel that way, but there are plenty on here who came to a conclusion about a player, dug in and never moved because that would mean admitting they were wrong.

Not necessarily trying to derail your thread. I just think it's a bad idea to view players like this. Each year should be a clean slate. That doesn't mean we ignore the past, only that they be given a chance to prove they can overcome it.

I'll pick Josh Ball as an example. Ball missed his first season and then had a bad start to his essentially rookie year. He settled in some as the preseason progressed but by then opinions were entrenched about him, and then when he got to play briefly in the regular season, he wasn't very good. Now, in just his second full offseason, it's possible that Ball can progress to where he is at least a capable backup. I don't have that expectation for him based on what he saw, but I also see no reason to say he can't improve or hasn't. We'll see how it goes.

The narrative has been that he has been playing out of position but he has been playing mostly 1 tech. He played one before Hankins was signed and then again when he was hurt. He has played it in previous years as well.

He has been terrible at both spots.
And I disagree so there's that.. I don't think he has been terrible as a three tech regardless of how they've been using him he been coming back off injuries more than a few times and it's affected his play and I don't think he's as bad as most people are making him out to be if he plays for the veteran minimum why shouldn't he be on this team remember that guy Malik Collins nobody wanted here did you see the contract he just got? He was talked about much in the same way and yet he goes to another team does well enough to get a nice big contract. Sometimes fans wanna believe what they think they see with their eyes and they really don't have a lot of football knowledge I think when he is healthy I've seen gallimore do pretty well and while he may not make the roster because of the numbers game I still think he has a shot because I think that if he stays at three tech if he can stay healthy I still think he has something to offer...

He was 116th out of 121 in average separation among WRs last year, per NFL Next Gen stats.
First off, he was still hurt, and second, that's the most nerdy and ridiculous made-up stat nonsense imaginable.

I miss the days when football was really only for the cool kids. Fantasy football ruined the game.
