I think the point some posters are making is that a guard is not a game changer.

Look at it this way, Zach played virtually every down last season and we were barely .500

He obviously cant win games by himself, despite if he is the best in the league. So do you pay him a small fortune or spread it to other areas of the team. That is the argument being made.

Do you see us spreading it to other areas of the team? Do you see us hitting on FA acquisitions that will make that money well spent? With this FO?

We have a sure thing in Martin. A bonafide monster. We were barely .500, and that had nothing to do with Zack. Look what happened when we lost TSmith (part of why we were a 9-7 team), now y'all wanna get rid of Martin to "spend his money elsewhere." That's banking a whole lot on this front office. They need to not **** it up and pay the man. That's "why" we didn't sign Tyrann et al, it's why we better damned sign our own.

We sure would see how much of a game changer he is once he's gone in one of these hypothetical trades.
