Stats are misleading especially when you factor in who's they played against and when some of those plays happened. I say Romo is the mvp. So many huge plays when it really really mattered. Gotta give it to him.

All I want to know is what was the purpose of typing "Player 1 and 2" If you directly state it's Romo vs Rodgers, and one has a 16 game season and one has a 15 game season? =p

Also Playoff stats don't factor into the MVP vote. MVP is MVP of the Regular season. Strong argument for Romo to be sure, I would still give the award to Rodgers, even though I think Romo had a better season for QB play. One key factor I look at when thinking about MVP is what would the team have done without them.
Sit Rodgers and Romo this year, Dallas has the better record imo. Would definitely give Romo a "Top QB" award though if there was one.

Neither players stats look like jj watt.

Only stat I look at for JJ Watt is 8-8. Must not be too valuable. Having astronomical stats in meaningless games is nothing compared to playing QB in pressure situations with your season routinely on the line.

Brady has struggled a lot when Gronk is out of the lineup...he doesn't make his guys all that great like people want to believe.

Not to mention what they've done to gain a 'competitive advantage'. When I heard professional lip readers, high powered binoculars and spying on team's practices - I knew nothing was sacred to that team. This deflated balls thing is like Pablo Escobar getting a speeding ticket.

Rodgers certainly didn't have to put the team on his back either (No QB does - or can). Nelson, Cobb, Lacy, the best pass blocking OL, a better defense, etc. all contributed.

Luck did it... THIS season.

A little, just a little help... And who knows...

lol edleman and Lafell would be garbage without a QB like Brady. Lafell is on his 5th yr and a 1/3 of his production came in this yr. Blount bombed after leaving NE. Brady the key there. im still laughing at somebody thinking edelman and LAFELL are starting dallas..

Keep laughing but Edelman is every bit as good if not better than Beasely who is our slot WR and Lafell is just as good if not better than TWill our WR2.

I don't see the MVP as a team award. Watt dominated on D more than any other player since Lawrence Taylor and he added 3 TDs on offense.

How many INTs did ARodgers make??

The other 52 did nothing? The Colts had 4 decent wins this year. The opposing teams scored 0, 10, and 13 points in 3 of those games. Did he have a running game? No. But that doesn't mean he carried his team.

Stop.

Leave stats out of it.
Luck was the Lone Ranger out there. I HOPE the defense showed up on the non-44 point days.

Lol

I'm convinced you don't understand football. Lone Ranger...please. Nobody caught the balls, nobody blocked, nobody played defense. Luck did it all. Okay.

Never said that.

Although he was about to try to throw and catch with TY Little... Err... I mean Hilton.

In the losses points were.... 24, 27, 34, 20, 7

Defense hung him out to dry in 3-4 of those games.

In the wins, he made the defense play lose with scoring lots o' points!

What are you guys even arguing about? Luck put up some good numbers, but looked terrible in a couple big games late in the year. He is not the MVP, that should be pretty obvious.

All biases aside, a case could be made for Romo or Rodgers. I don't have a problem with Rodgers winning it. But I have a problem for people not even considering Romo when I think they both deserve it equally. To be honest, this would be the ideal year for Co-MVPs. Rodgers has more yards and TDs, but Romo did miss an entire game and then about half of the Commanders game. Rodgers' stats are impressive because he gained a lot of yards and TDs but still barely threw any INTs. Usually when a QB throws a lot, they're more prone to INTs. Romo's stats are impressive because, although he didn't get as many yards as other QBs, he had the highest completion percentage while still have the highest yards per completion. Usually when a QB completes a high percentage of passes, he makes a lot of short, easy throws. Both QBs were very impressive and got their teams 12 wins. I'd say they both should win.

Their defense was horrible, they had no running game. Yeah he pretty much did it all.

Who is arguing?

Luck "was asked to do too much".... Lol

I always wanted to use that on someone other than Romo

Romo had a great season, but hes not MVP.

He isnt the MVP on his own team... DeMarco Murray

Romo's first half of the season was not MVP worthy. Why do they even give out these awards?
