Jerry was an Idiot when we were winning Super Bowls too. He just had Jimmy but still screwed up the greatest team in Cowboys history.

All day every day he screwed this up with his ego.. But even Johnson said he had his faults to. As you saw when he went to the fins and tried again. Lol. I still think JJ bought some before the cap. He grabbed up and did business with players like Deion and Norton and Haley. He played within the rules and built a perfect picture. And his ego spilled over for years past it. Draft has been solid for a few years now. The best thing the OWNER/GM has done is getting a new HC. He has hired his own staff.

I’m not even a Dak fan. More of a critic actually. My stance is on how this was handled and effects to Cowboys Football.

I’m talking about Jerry’s actions the last 25 years. Those actions have led us to three wild card playoff wins. The selfish obsession with being the centerpiece of this franchise is way worse than Dak not taking a contract offer. I’m not advocating for Dak here. I’m merely pointing out where the most significant selfishness is in this organization.

By turning over contract and salary cap management to Stephen, Jerry is finally doing the right thing. Stephen tried to explain to dak last year there was just so much pie to go around in order to keep good players around dak. But dak wasn't hearing it. Not only did he want top money, but a short term deal which hampers the cowboys ability to manage the cap. That is selfishness and greed. Jerry's flaw is his hubris.

In my opinion, it is complete hypocrisy to call out Dak Prescott or any other Cowboys player for being “financially selfish” and “not committed to winning” by not accepting a recent contract offer.

If Jerry Jones, the absolute poster boy for sports greed and selfishness ever starts putting a 100% commitment to winning ahead of his cash register and psychopathic obsession with getting “credit”, it might be fair to call out some players for putting greed ahead of winning.

When your owner/president/GM/chief jock and socks manager puts his ego, cash grab and selfishness first, you get what we’ve been getting the last 25 years. A lot of nothing when it comes to substantive playoff success. So if we as fans are going to call out greed, selfishness, and a lack of commitment to this team’s quest to regain its former luster, let’s call out the architect and person most responsible for everything we are and are not as a team.

Change ALWAYS starts at the top. If we expect things to get better ON the field, the change and the example of a commitment to place winning ahead of greed has to start in the billionaire owners box. I have only one question for you Bob. Do you think (Based on what was reported 33-35 with 110m guaranteed) Jerry and the Cowboys made a fair competitive offer to Dak? I'm not Jerry's biggest fan but they put a fair offer out there and while i don't blame any player for trying to get as much as they can, they have to be real too, sorry but this ones on Dak and his team

Traded a 1st for Cooper, drafted Zeke 4th overall and Zack a top 15 pick. He had no choice but to sign them. Go look at other quality players who were not top picks. Byron was a late round pick....gone. Collins a 3rd rounder....gone. Dak a 4th rounder...franchise tagged. He did sign Lawrence after the franchise tag though.

If Stephen is as cheap as you suggest, he had the choice not to sign any of them. He'd have signed dak if the qb hadn't held out for a short term deal. Dak thinks only of himself. Stephen has to consider the entire team. To suggest he's cheap is uninformed thinking.

Players *should* look out for their financial interests. I don't blame Dak for doing that.

But I don't think Dak looked out for his own interests well. While the Kirk Cousins Path to Riches probably makes sense generally, I don't think it makes sense with the Cowboys, or in the current economic uncertainty.

Personally, I'd trade Dak and roll with Dalton.

Dalton + 31.4mil + Dak's trade value > Dak

If Dak gets traded to a meh offense, he could lose a *ton* of money.
