The real selfish and greedy guy in Big D

We all have problems.

I’ll ask again. How do you handle the HC who just won Back to Back Super Bowls?
They had issues dude. Both admitted it years later. If it was just Jones then i am not sure Johnson would have said anything. He went to the fins. What happened there. Oh yeah the cap started.

In my opinion, it is complete hypocrisy to call out Dak Prescott or any other Cowboys player for being “financially selfish” and “not committed to winning” by not accepting a recent contract offer.

If Jerry Jones, the absolute poster boy for sports greed and selfishness ever starts putting a 100% commitment to winning ahead of his cash register and psychopathic obsession with getting “credit”, it might be fair to call out some players for putting greed ahead of winning.

When your owner/president/GM/chief jock and socks manager puts his ego, cash grab and selfishness first, you get what we’ve been getting the last 25 years. A lot of nothing when it comes to substantive playoff success. So if we as fans are going to call out greed, selfishness, and a lack of commitment to this team’s quest to regain its former luster, let’s call out the architect and person most responsible for everything we are and are not as a team.

Change ALWAYS starts at the top. If we expect things to get better ON the field, the change and the example of a commitment to place winning ahead of greed has to start in the billionaire owners box. You know, the guy who makes one billion a year but hasn’t won a divisional playoff game since Dak Prescott was 2 years old.

If Jerry ever shows us he is really committed to winning ahead of his ego and greed, maybe we could start calling out some players too.
Are some people unaware of this thing called the “salary cap”???

Yes I think Dak got a fair offer. That was never the point of this thread. I was just pointing out that if so many of our fans were going to criticize a player for being “selfish” and not putting “winning” first, shouldn’t that criticism first be leveled against the king of putting his own interests ahead of winning? That would be Jerry. The last 25 years are all about him putting his crazy ego and lust for more cash ahead of winning.

Did Jerry actually put himself 1st by making a fair offer? Or by actually making a fair offer was he not putting the team 1st? It's not like Jerry low balled him and tried to get him cheap

That’s your only rebuttal is attempting to discredit me personally. You have nothing to add to discredit my message?
Your message is your hatred of jerry and Stephen. I get that. I've talked about better drafts. Better contracts including top deals for zeke, zack, cooper and tank. I've talked about deals for jaylon and la'el being great deals for the cowboys. You dismiss all of it and continue your angry rants against the joneses. If you think that makes you sppear erudite, rant on.

More denial . You can’t even answer the question.

Cause no one after winning back to back Super Bowls would attempt to undermine their HC . No oneeeeee!!

Jerry puts himself first by being the face of this franchise.

But...My point isn’t about Dak and that contract offer. I’m just saying if we’re going to say Dak is selfish and hurting the team by not taking that offer, shouldn’t we hold JJ to the same standard?

Jerry Jones is the most selfish guy in the organization. A selfless owner would have long ago changed his ways. Was Dak selfish? Maybe. But who has hurt this organization more? Dak? It’s hands down the guy sitting in the owners box.

And what exactly has it delivered? Results look the same to me. Cheapskate Sons results are no better than his Idiot Daddy. They both suk and are horrid talent evaluators.

Your worship of Stephen is probably based on some hope Jerry is giving it up and Stephen is going to lead us back to the mountain top. Lol

My hatred is based on the effects on Cowboys Football the last 30 years.

I take Cowboys Football very serious . Well, I used to. And this Son and Pop operation suks poop.

If Jimmy hadn’t set them up initially they’d already been ran out of town. Screw Em to hell!!!

Totally predictable response, dunsky.

I get what your saying what i'm saying is Jerry wasn't being selfish by making a fair and decent offer to get Dak signed long term, but Jerry can and should be held to that standard if he acted that way, which in this instance he didn't, he made a fair competitive offer and a good faith effort to get Dak signed. Dak turned it down that is on Dak and Dak alone. And for the record he turned down 2 very good offers from the team in a 1 year period

More personal insults. How childish. I’ll take the high road . Nothing left to to dispute my message. Just me.

Same old crap I dealt with for a decade on old forum. Don’t like the message. Attack the messenger.

You have no message. Just your disdain for the joneses. Don't you think everyone here gets it?

I appreciate all you guys posting here on this thread. Especially the guys who read the OP before offering an opinion. Let’s save the insults for the eagles fans, lol! We can surely agree that we love the Cowboys. No hard feelings!

It doesn’t matter. We have sport writers who continue pounding the message too. Cause they are valid criticisms. Fans should open up the local papers and read for themselves. Or tune in the radio.

And why I’m simply following the majority of Dallas fans who hate how Jerry and the Jones run Cowboys Football.

Jerry, the most hated sports personality in Dallas.
Anyone who supports them I’d consider enemy of our local franchise.

But your love of Stephen has become entertaining.

I really disagree with you here.

Jerrah has done a very good job of putting THIS team together.

Whole new coaching staff..has paid his star players the top of the food chain..

built State of the Art stadium and training center..

staffed the front office with guys like Will Clay whom we all gush over.

Yes..what you call his ego I call his sentimentality.

He does stay with players he likes too long..

he does over pay them to play for him..

but they need to play better as a team.

McCarthy is going to put alot of change into the on the field product.

You going off like this is weird. Is this becuz you think Jerrah should have caved to France and DAKs antics?

He should not. I guarantee you most of the league thinks DAKs offer is overpaying for a QB who has never won anything of any real accomplishment.

So far all Dak has brought back have been participation trophies.

Are you blaming Jerrah for this?

At some point you have to ask yourself..

Do our players really want this or are they just happy being millionaires?

I think far too often, they perceive being a Cowboy is their crowning achievement and the rest is not important.

So I am not buying your rant. You are usually cooler with your viewpoint and logical.

You let that get to you

Tsk tsk.

Time out corner, Mr Hazes.

We still have a long ways to go if this is as far us your logic has taken you. You have always been a guy I read despite we both compete for the longest posts in recorded history of fan worship.

:omg:

Jerry's been overpaying players for a long time so this is an actual sign of change. You want change? he hired a quality coach and is letting him do his thing in comparison to the micromanaging he was famous for with every coach since Jimmy Johnson. You gotta start somewhere and 2020 actually looks promising with Jerry allowing a real HC to make decisions.

For many years the joke was Jerry chases names in free agency. Now we seem to be running the organization well. Scouting, coaching, and front office is carefully making decisions and Jerry is still the joke?

In business you have tough negotiations. When this much is on the line you need to be prudent.

Here is my prediction: Dak will have a great year with the tools around him and coach MM. This will push the final negotiation across the line. It will help alleviate our front office concerns of paying top dollar for Dak. This time next year Dak is the highest paid QB in football, in terms of $ per year.

I don't think there's any blame as far as the contract goes. Jerry thought it was fair and Dak didn't. I'm not mad at either side, that's just the way things go sometimes.

I don't entirely agree with the selfishness though Bob. There has been many accounts from former players of Jerry helping them outside of football, ie lending his plane when needed. I do agree that he wants all the credit as far as winning goes though.

Oh wow.....you just typed a essay about me committing suicide....that took a dark and pathetic turn. I asked you to be funny this time what type of humor is this?
It wasn't humor, it was way out of line.

This board has been getting worse since Tony, but man it's at an all time low right now.

Some of the nasty stuff you read on here over opinions boggles the mind.
