The real selfish and greedy guy in Big D

Romo got paid a ton and produces nothing. At least Dak should be paid like Romo.
In those regards yes.. So hard to tell from the talent around them. Look at when the team was going forward and Romo goes down and the team couldn’t beg a win. Then year or so later Romo goes down and a 4th round comp pick carries us to a 13 game winning season. By the way he could have ran up his stats in his rookie season if he played more than the first series. We left that game to but fumble and he lost badly..

Bottomline : is it worth coming up short a couple million to disrupt this team?

Unless you felt Dak was the one holding us back.

Cowboys didn't disrupt the team, Dak did! he was offerred at worst top 3 money at his position and turned it down, he was offerred Wentz and Goff money before the start of the 2019 season and turned it down. The Cowboys made fair offers to Dak and you know what? the other players know that too. The Cowboys gave big deals to alot of players in the last 12-18 months and offerred big money to Dak and he turned it down, how do you think that will play in the locker room? My bet is the word greed is gonna come up alot this season in the locker room

Players *should* look out for their financial interests. I don't blame Dak for doing that.

But I don't think Dak looked out for his own interests well. While the Kirk Cousins Path to Riches probably makes sense generally, I don't think it makes sense with the Cowboys, or in the current economic uncertainty.

Personally, I'd trade Dak and roll with Dalton.

Dalton + 31.4mil + Dak's trade value > Dak

If Dak gets traded to a meh offense, he could lose a *ton* of money.

Players absolutely have to get as much as they can, they also have to be realistic. Cowboys offerred fair money, it's on Dak and his team for turning it down

By turning over contract and salary cap management to Stephen, Jerry is finally doing the right thing. Stephen tried to explain to dak last year there was just so much pie to go around in order to keep good players around dak. But dak wasn't hearing it. Not only did he want top money, but a short term deal which hampers the cowboys ability to manage the cap. That is selfishness and greed. Jerry's flaw is his hubris.
Is a different thing for JJ. He is letting SJ handle the contracts. Daks agent went for what JJ used to do. It’s almost funny. His agent gonna rape JJ and NO. Same fair offer from last year. What in the last minute you wanna sign it but no time left..,

Oh wow.....you just typed a essay about me committing suicide....that took a dark and pathetic turn. I asked you to be funny this time what type of humor is this?

Yeah.....

You're losing it.

You actually thought Dak would be signed by now, now you don't know what to do with yourself.

Look how pathetic you've gotten since it was announced he'd stay on the tag.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

#DontpayDak

Would you. Seriously. I would. I would hire people to run it. But not sure if I played and thought I could do it. Then you hire a HC and win a few SB. Lol...
You could still be involved like many owners are without being the GM and face of the franchise undermining your Head Coaches . And still take credit for hiring and surrounding yourself with the best people.

But that wasn’t enough for Jerry when he had Jimmy. We were on the top of the world and it wasn’t enough because Jimmy got more credit and was the face of the Cowboys. Screw Jerry and the frikin Arkansas hillbilly hog he rode in on.

Yea like Stephens handling has put us in any better position to win championships. Did I miss hanging banners since Stephen has supposedly in more control. I can’t see much difference in the results on the field .

We were more forgiving towards the axis powers after ww2 than you are towards jerry. You're too wrapped up in minutiae.

That’s your only rebuttal is attempting to discredit me personally. You have nothing to add to discredit my message?

Johnson even admitted he had his own problems..

Maybe they should just hand the team over to me...

I have only one question for you Bob. Do you think (Based on what was reported 33-35 with 110m guaranteed) Jerry and the Cowboys made a fair competitive offer to Dak? I'm not Jerry's biggest fan but they put a fair offer out there and while i don't blame any player for trying to get as much as they can, they have to be real too, sorry but this ones on Dak and his team
Yes I think Dak got a fair offer. That was never the point of this thread. I was just pointing out that if so many of our fans were going to criticize a player for being “selfish” and not putting “winning” first, shouldn’t that criticism first be leveled against the king of putting his own interests ahead of winning? That would be Jerry. The last 25 years are all about him putting his crazy ego and lust for more cash ahead of winning.
