yep, your right. That part is complicated...and a big deal. You're not considering contracts. Zeke's contract makes him pretty much untradeable.

what would you call it? This has gone way beyond just business at this point. The agent should be charged for attempted extortion. Of course its tongue and cheek..but you get the point.extort money? how is he extorting money? that was pretty dumb
Everyone and their uncle (except a few Dak jock sniffers) know he’s not an elite QB. There is no IF
the only question is whether the Joneses have the backbone to take the proper steps
well said. The only caveat would be the enormous endorsements he can get here as opposed to elsewhere. This is where fans are misunderstood. France is serving Daks interest NOT the Cowboys.
And if Cowboy fans can look beyond the trees for the forest they might see that Daks best interest financially might not be in Dallas.
1. His asking price must be too high again
2. Mike M must not have full faith in him, as does Stephen
Both go hand in hand.
If they thought he was the elite QB, some here believe, he would get whatever. Mike would let it be known, "bro, we need this dude by any means"
I'm not a Dak fan, but ready for this to be over.
Trade him or just out right let him walk.
Aikman not accurate?
You're joking right?
Well teams need to learn how to let go of loyalty and treat it in a business manner. If Dak costs too much, let him go even if they get nothing in return. Because teams keep giving in is the reason agents keep holding out for more.all he has to do is be patient and he maximizes his contract, as long as others sign. His agent is trying to get him paid the most. If he plays on the tag again, and then signs in free agency next year, he maximizes his earnings. The agent knows this. He knows this.
Are we afraid to see what another Qb with a full off season and training camp can do with this teamif you want to let Dak walk and Sign dalton, then its time to trade Lawrence, Martin, cut Smith, let zeke walk, cut/trade cooper and cash in on Gallup and rebuild....given how much dalton sucks and chances of hitting on a QB is 1 out of 5 and .....that way we assure ourselves the top pick and a chance to find a QB, if by chance that year a good one is coming out.....this year's crop ain't too promising after Lawrence and even Lawrence has warts...
keeping Dalton with current team, will assure us a 4-6 win season and that's a top 10 pick. getting rid of some of the fat, will assure us a 1-3 win season and a chance at the top pick.
1. The Jones boys don't want to pay the asking price,,, not because it's too high, but because they are too cheap.1. His asking price must be too high again

The real reason is the Jones’s don’t want to pay an elite QB any money.

All I saw was that they were all 4 year deals and most of those were extended contracts so I don't know the details. This isn't really accurate CC. I can't find any examples of a franchise QB being under contract for less than five years after signing a new contract. Do you have any examples?
Dak is obviously trying to extort money up front now and the agent is behind it. This is out of character for Dak. I truly do not think its him doing this.He is getting bad advice.
All comes down to options, if not Prescott, then what QB do they get? Watson and Wilson are for teams with an open window and that is not the Cowboys, they're still building the defense with a permanent Under Construction sign up.Well even with that being the case. Wouldn't you just give him what he wants, and then in 3 years pay him more because you know he's "elite "
If they felt he was, they'd give into whatever demands. Because they'd know end if the day he puts on his backpack and carries the team
Which he does not

It really doesn't matter, how many of these QB contacts are running by the numbers? I am not aware of any except the tags. If a QB gets hot or another gets more money, see Rodgers, a new deal is in order. And PIT is talking an extension with their QB. Wilson has said he doesn't want a trade but just in case, here's a list of places I'd like to hang my hat. Watson met with his new HC and still wants out, that's some wrecked speed dating right there.
He is betting on himself, yet preventing the team from getting better around him.
Just so he can maybe cash in again....when he can have that money now.
I mean really....what does he think he is going to get in 2024??
50 million a year? 60 million?
Just add that to the end of the 3 year deal he wants now.
No, its not guaranteed but neither is the idea that he will be able to cash in again in three years.
What if he snaps that ankle again and can't play?
What if the league comes up with something to stop these absurd QB salaries?
What if owners simply stop giving out these insane deals?
I'm not at all understanding what he wants in three years that he can't have now.
