Chiefs also changed their O. They now have Mahomes throwing a ton of short passes. Chiefs lost to TB specifically due to an O based on the longer passing game. TB took that away, and Mahomes had no answer.

Mahomes, IMO, has now taken the next step. When they asked him at the time about changing what he does a bit, he declared that he would not. However, now he has.
They got lucky this year. They had bad luck in the 2 previous years.

I wouldn’t mind a young OT on the right side with Tyler Smith on the left . Book ends road graders pass protectors .
Isn't Steele still under contract?

If I can get a All Pro C that's what I do. Great C will cut the DL in half and open up cut back lanes. Also neutralizes pressure up the middle.

RB by Committee is always the answer! I know it will be hard to convince Jerry though because he has always been about having the workhorse franchise RB that he can market and sell jerseys.

IF RB is a top 10 talent on your board and there's no other 1st round talent at 26 I would have no problem taking him especially there's not a good RB on our roster without injury.

Why would I take the 5th rated OT with 2nd round grade or a 4th rated IOL with 2-3 round grade over a top 10 RB talent? It's not as if we are loaded at RB or skill positions.

You try to set up your draft board and stick to it. Never wrong drafting a great player regardless of position. It's up to the coaches to use that talent.

It would have to be a very shallow draft to even consider it.

I tried to talk myself into liking the Zeke pick, but never really did. To me, that was the year to trade back, if a trade partner could be found.
Trade back a little and they may have still gotten Zeke along with another player. The second round pick was worse. Wasn’t Chris Jones a second rounder?

If I had a crystal ball and knew which player would be successful, then sure I trade back. Unfortunately, no one can see into the future.

People always like to say...just draft a good RB at round xx. How do you know? Plenty of busts the further you go down in rounds.

You’re right, you never know. But the more picks the better opportunity to hit. We’ve done pretty well outside of some second round gaffs

Supposedly there are only 15 or 16 true 1st round players in every draft... So half of the 1st round picks are actually 2nd rounders... But drafting a RB in the top 15 is crazy....

So what are you doing with out young pro bowl center? Cutting him?

Definitely having more picks help. But quality still matters. I would say more 2-4th round picks. Slim pickings after 4th.... anyone tell you otherwise is full of BS. Lot of luck needed. If we knew Brady would be Brady he wouldn't last till 6th.

If I definitively can draft a plug in ALL Pro C this year? I trade the current Pro Bowl C during the draft for 2-3 round choice. Yes, it's may sound crazy. But an ALL PRO is significant upgrade over a Pro Bowl player. We all seen how our current C have difficulty with powerful NTs.

LOL.............no I actually agree with you completely. Center to me is as important as LT for me. I would trade Biadasz in a second if we could draft an all pro.

Might actually be a great move considering his pro bowl status.

That’s who you franchise IMO. Draft a guy and franchise Pollard. Pollard means more to this team than just rushing. He helps the passing attack as well.

They hardly throw him the ball . You only have so many cap dollars , based on his injury I offer less then franchise let someone else over pay take a comp pick in 2024
