He recovered the ball so it would not have mattered.
There were such quick replays it was hard to tell who had the ball but it did seem the Cowboys got it back.
He recovered the ball so it would not have mattered.
I get why he's doing it. There are several people here who refuse to see the reality of some plays, because they want to blame the refs if a call doesn't go our way, even when shown conclusive video. This, I don't think is conclusive video. The conspiracy minded, while they do exist, are the minority. Ironically, the only ones the OP really wants to debate with.
Slow news day...Wow.
This thread is right up there with there with the refs cheated is out of a win in GB thread.
Wow.
He also may not have challenged it because we didn't give him time to get a good look at the replay. If the other coach thought the call was wrong all he had to do was reach into his back pocket and throw that red challenge flag. It's really that simple. He would have lost the challenge and the timeout because even though it was a fumble, Schultz was clearly the player that gained possession of the fumble. That's probably why the other coach did not challenge it. It would have been a waste of a challenge and a timeout.
The debate is Marcus trying to make a point about not all calls going against the Cowboys.I thought he fumbled..
But he recovered it, so what's the debate?
Yeah, I know. My point is there's not that many who actually think that and that's all the OP focuses on.I get why he's doing it. No but possession would be cuffing the ball to your forearm and that cuff does not break until his knee is clearly down!lool, oh you think “possession” is him simply still touching the ball?
That's crap - possession is not the ball tucked away - Don't be stupid . Many players hold the ball out from their body all the time. You know like when they reach the ball out for the goaline.......Possession is the ball tucked away. Pulled from your body is not possession, especially when the ball comes out. Ask Dez in Green Bay. Glad some people here aren't letting themselves be blinded and see it as a fumble.
There are enough to keep threads alive for pages and pages of people arguing. Look at the CeeDee "heel on the line" thread. There were quite a few people trying to say he was in, and when they were told the rule, they either denied it was right or said it was a stupid rule, even though it's been that way from the start of the NFL, I believe.Yeah, I know. My point is there's not that many who actually think that and that's all the OP focuses on.
Since people here like to contend that they just want a fairly called game I'm shocked that this play hasn't been talked about. With Indy already up 3-0 and the Cowboys driving for what would be their first score, Schultz clearly fumbles this ball that the refs, who you all say swallow their whistles, immediately blow a play dead that was a fumble and Indy had pounced on. @Blackrain told me to be vigilant about what the refs might be up to in this game and will you look at this? An egregious benefit to Dallas who were trailing and about to go down 10-0 if this had stood. With the Cowboys as notorious slow starters, pass-happy Moore probably would have abandoned the run and Air (Pick City) Prescott would have been front and center in the offense. This obvious intentional blown call kept that from happening. Matthew Stafford said it best about AT&T Stadium: "Home cookin'!"

It was not about the ball touching the ground , it was about the ball becoming displaced from his grasp and moved while touching the ground!I'm saying in the Dez non-catch, it was all about possession (and the ball touching the ground).
They're usually the same people. Ignore 'em.There are enough to keep threads alive for pages and pages of people arguing. Look at the CeeDee "heel on the line" thread. His point isn't that it cost the Colts the game. His point is merely to show the more conspiracy theory minded people that the officials err in our favor too...Though I think this is a bad example of that.
Well had he not recovered it Indy would’ve challenged and received ALL the momentum.I thought he fumbled..
But he recovered it, so what's the debate?

Schultz recovered the ball. Watch the whole thing.
If they called it a fumble, Schultz recovered it
