It's one thing if you say it, or I say it, or some blowhard in the media says it.

It's quite another if the most respected living icon in Cowboys history says it.

Now, we need Emmitt, Aikman, Lilly, Irvin, Jimmy, Woodson, Moose, Bates, etc, to join Staubach.

That's the only place any meaningful momentum can come from.

I just hope that Roger doesn't say that on this website or he will be labeled a "troll"!

The more people will call him out to do this, the more he will dig himself in.

Jones will not cede authority until either his bottom line takes a huge hit, he becomes incapacitated or he passes away. His ego will not allow himself to walk away.

Thank you Roger for stating the obvious.

It won't happen but at least he said it.

This is so true, we have Al Davis 2.0

I think Roger is speaking for "The man with the funny hat". It would be nice if we heard this from Jimmy Johnson next.

Rodger worked with one of the best GMs in Tex Schramm, so he should know a good one when he meets him.

Seeing what Jerry has done to this franchise over the last 18+ years must being tears to his eyes.

Good man Rodger!

I am sorry to say if we had Tex Schramm as GM and Opie as HC then the results would still be the same. I know Tex would not be so stupid to hire Opie because only Jerry would hire Opie. Furthermore, Roger should state that the HC is the problem as well. It is obvious that Opie is not the "Next Tom Laundry". Roger should state his views on the entire organization from Top to bottom.

Roger didn't play for Jerry, and while he has been treated well by Jerry I don't think he can sting Jerry like one of his boys can. I can't really see any scenario where that happens. All the former players love Jerry.

But the main problem is at the very top of this particular tree.

Rodger is right to start there.

Jerry is up at the ring of honor where he is removing Staubach's name. LOL.

This will probably bring back some posters out of the shadows.

For the love of all that is holy, people, it is Roger, not Rodger.

Please spell the greatest Cowboy of all time's name correctly.

Thank you.

Ha, I remember reading several threads with the spelling Stauback over the years. :(
