It's one thing if you say it, or I say it, or some blowhard in the media says it.

It's quite another if the most respected living icon in Cowboys history says it.

Now, we need Emmitt, Aikman, Lilly, Irvin, Jimmy, Woodson, Moose, Bates, etc, to join Staubach.

That's the only place any meaningful momentum can come from.

I appreciate Roger stepping up and saying this.
Hopefully other past Cowboy greats will step up too.

That doesn't really matter to me. If he is intent on holding this franchise hostage as his own personal play toy, he should do it as the most hated man in Texas. He should be constantly bombarded with questions about it. Everywhere he turns, media, former players, fans....he should be forced to defend himself. He should fear for his own safety around our fan base. He's gotten off far too easily over the years. He'd have been lynched in Philly by now, not have his name chanted in camp every year.

Same goes for little Stevey. Who cares if they get upset? Keep pounding them with questions. Screw these guys.

Don't misconstrue my point - I wasn't saying to stop calling for his head. I'm only stating how his diseased mind works. The more people question him and push for him to change, he will entrench himself deeper in his position. He is delusional enough to think that he can will success in this, even when he doesn't have the football gravitas to back it up.

I went to the Hall of Fame Game this year. Fans were cheering and applauding Jones as he went to the NFL Network podium. I asked some of them why they were cheering him, and whether they liked him as a GM. Many of them said no. I then said, well, aren't you enabling him by cheering him? They said, well, he's with the Cowboys, and I'm a fan.

This is why he won't change.

This is so true, we have Al Davis 2.0

Just think about it though, in 20 years the new breed won't know who Al Davis is... They'll rue their terrible misguided owners by saying "we have Jerry Jones 2.0". Just waiting for the secret sauce befor the transformation is complete. Much like we are waiting for the velour sweat suit and white shoes... Lol

Jerry should have done the smart thing when he bought the team if he all he wanted is glory.

When he decided to fire Landry, instead he should have just gave Landry the GM title and tell him that his new Head Coach was going to be Jimmy Johnson. And when Coach Landry passes...then he can become the GM. He could have been respected by millions. Plus, he could have learned a thing or two.

Of course, this just my opinion. But, the fool did win three Superbowls.

Jerry's secret sauce ingredients:
Poor self-scouting
Below Average Drafting
Dead cap money
Media attention
Fans that keep falling for this team

It really is all about Jerry the owner as well as Jerry the GM. Pole dancers at home games is a joke.

I understand what you are saying, but pole dancers have nothing to do with fielding a winning football team. Take away the pole dancers and any other flash you consider excessive and a "joke" and what are we left with? Still, a mediocre team that thrives on mediocrity. Why? Because of the albatross that is managing the team, aka, Jerry Jones.

I guess you don't get it. Having pole dancers is just another example of Jone's proclivity for the outlandish. It's how he rolls. It's how he destroys the Dallas Cowboys.
