I think it's time we took a hard look at the running back situation, I really can't see us going into the season with the same collection of backs we have now. I don't feel there's room on this roster for MB3, JJ and TT and I'm going to make a bold prediction:
Julius Jones won't be a dallas cowboy in 2006
The reason I feel this way is that I think that JJ and Parcells are cooking something up for a potential trade. He has talent but he's too fragile and I'm sick and tired of him being injured. He lacks toughness and isn't dependable, and when you play for a coach like Parcells that's not a good thing. The season is 16 games plus another potential 3 or 4 in the playoffs. So why keep a guy on this roster that we can't even count on for more than 8 games in a season? He's part of the reason that Bledsoe took a lot of hits and the pass protection was unbearable at times. Also he drops the ball a lot and we need a back that can make plays out of the backfield in the passing game if we are going to go anywhere.
Marion Barber the 3rd is more than proven he can move the chains and handle the job full time. He is also the better blocker/receiver. Also Tyson Thomson is a solid prospect and could be good compliment to MB3
I think we should trade JJ for a 2nd round pick right now and wash our hands clean right now while we can get value for him. In fact we should inquire about a pontential trade package involving JJ and Henson if we sign Harrington.
We can draft another back in the later rounds to develop or sign a veteran or young back cut from another team during training camp.
Any thoughts?

You are right he isn't a Portis because he has healthy shoulders and doesn't dress crazy for press conferences. Thank God on both points.SantanaOwnsU said:He's no Clinton Portis

I have to enforce the rules, but I'm with you. Nothing to say on that bit of garbage.Justis said:according to the rules of the forum, I'm not allowed to insult people. So I guess I have nothing to say.

The Cowboys feel just the opposite and judging from the posts in this thread, so do most Cowboy fans. MBIII is a nice back but JJ is the man....PERIOD.Bledsoe4MVP said:I don't see him as a starting RB anymore, he hasn't proven it....MB3 has better potential as the starter than JJ does.
My post (the "strangely" post) was about the offensive line injuries. It was posted in another thread that was merged. JJ missed the middle of the season. When he was gone was when the running game was at its worst.Bledsoe4MVP said:Yes and you said the running game wasn't better right? Hence my point....JJ has done nothing to warrant the starting job going into 2006.....MB3 paid his dues as far as I'm concerned and showed more raw talent.
