The Cowboys feel just the opposite and judging from the posts in this thread, so do most Cowboy fans. MBIII is a nice back but JJ is the man....PERIOD.

Well everybody has thier opinions and I respect them......don't get me wrong I'd love to see JJ silence the critics (including myself) but he's facing an uphill battle due to his fragility and the emergence of other talent on this roster.

I guess we'll have to see how it all pans out, I wouldn't lose any sleep though if he was traded or we pick up a legit starting running back that can stay healthy. I just hope we don't lose MB3, he's definitely a balla.....and I like his potential in the passing game as a receiver, reminds me of a young marshall faulk.

Barber got 5 td's down the home stretch against tougher teams... By the numbers its a push, IMO Barber just seemed like he ran harder and hit the hole harder. I like them both and fancy the Barber-Jones 2 headed rushing attack!

rushing
Player No Yds Avg Long TD
Julius Jones 257 993 3.9 51 5
Marion Barber 138 538 3.9 28 5

receiving
Julius Jones 35 218 6.2 26 0
Marion Barber 18 115 6.4 21 0

Finally something I can agree with cowboys fans about - JJ is a little baby. He's had 2 or 3 good games in 2 years and you guys make him out to be the second coming of Barry Sanders. He's fast, I'll give you that. But he cant break a tackle to save his life. Hell, he's broken more bones than he has tackles in his NFL career. MB3 is a much tougher back, I think he deserves a shot. At least make it an open competition. JJ is a fragile like a snowflake. The complete opposite of my boy Southeast Jerome.

Don't be afraid to speak your mind.....the facts speak for themself, I've spent time thoroughly analyzing game film of JJ and MB3 and I know who the better back is despite what the JJ fans think.

I never said he isn't a good back, but he's not the complete package: I want a hard nose blocker on my team! A guy who is going to hit the hole with authority and take no prisoners! Somebody who is going to turn a 5 yard swing pass into a 60 yard TD run....I just don't see JJ as being that guy. :(

Then again you think Bledsoe is one of the top Qbs in the league so that shows us how "good" your evaluating skills are.

im serious. Its a good 2-headed attack. Barber starts. Jones comes in and uses the speed and doesn't get hurt so much after MB3 loosens them up!

But no thoughts on the Jackson vs Jones draft.......

The facts don't lie troll slayer, the opinion that Bledsoe is still an elite QB are shared by many fans worldwide, not just cowboy fans either.......take a good look at his career numbers sometime.....you might actually see something you like. ;)

Good post, I like the two headed monster. Barber is a good complementary back and relish's his role backing up JJ. Just like in Minn. where he shared carries there.

TT is another wildcard and I look forward to his progress too.

His injuries have been completely unrelated. And if you saw how he was injured last year, you wouldn't be saying anything now.

We were lucky he even played either of the last two seasons. The guy is a troop. And I expect him to be back at 100% this season.

This whole thread should be erased....JJ will be a Cowboy for at least 2 more seaons, maybe even more if he stays healthy. If you look at JJ's injuries you will see that he is tough and is good enough to be in our system. When he broke his colar bone in 04 he did not wont to come out of the game. In 05 a GAY eagles player suckered his ankle on a BS hit..Dont get me wrong MB3 is a great young back but JJ is still a better back for us....GET READY COWBOY FANS IT'S TIME FOR THE JJ AND BARBER SHOW IN 06:bow:

it says Barber-Jones......

Whatever, BP has it the other way around. Hey, but it still works.

JJ=15-20 carries
MB=5-7 carries
TT=3-5 carries

The coach's have this figured out.

Then troop it up and play like the back we thought we got when we drafted him.

STAY HEALTHY OR MB3 will be the starter.......

Honestly all of this is moot...

We have a 2-headed attack and I really don't think Parcells will be counting who has how many carries. THE most productive will be the starter. Parcells is old school and old school says, Get what you earn and earn what you get!
