This salad has been tossed for years nowNever heard them referred to as "The Salad Years" one time.

I don't want to misquote because it could've been radio guys opinion but I heard a ex player speak on it. How they'd be on planes and Romo would be in coach and they'd be commercial. Jason Hatcher personally said he didn't respect Romo because he thought he was bigger than the team. It's just one guys opinion but it does make sense that no one really road for Romo when it was time to give him his job back. Even Romo described it as they turned their back on him.You may be right, but I have no idea how many things he did with the other members of the team, nor do I know how much time Dak spends with the rest of the team on their days off, or Troy, or Roger.
Honestly, these guys probably have their own things going on, and I doubt anyone feels like they weren't included.
True….but we all knew that if Rodgers had under 2 minutes to mount a game winning drive, our defense would fold like a cheap suitSome running back had a problem fumbling the ball that year. Killed us in the Green Bay game. I hope I have the right year.
At all levels of the sport, wet footballs are routinely wiped down during the course of a rainy game. Water and football never had anything to do with the infamous Romo fumble against the Seahawks.I'm just saying what I've noticed. I've noticed in bad weather games where it's raining like it did in Seattle they wipe down the football a lot at least the telecast shows it anyway.
With Romo this team should have been making the playoffs at least 50% of the time, likely more. He was legit top 10 and simply did not have a good enough supporting cast most seasons.Wasted years. That's probably the most disappointing thing about the Romo era. Yeah I wanted to win a ring but as good as Romo was we should've made the playoffs more than we did. Wasted 8-8 years. Not even bad enough to get a top 5 pick to add top 5 talent.
i felt like most of Romo years the team was vastly overrated. Typical of Garrett era where theyd smash some mediocre team or two, then fall apart for a few games when they got hyped up. Oline fell apart until 13-14, defense had 2-3 good players and the rest were JAGs or terrible. With Romo this team should have been making the playoffs at least 50% of the time, likely more. Those were some tough years to be a fan. Losing the division championship the final game of the season for three years in a row was some sort of sick twisted comedy. I actually don't know if there are very many other teams in recent memory that have had a run with that level of misfortune.
Id say this is the best defense weve had since maybe '07-'08, with a slight edge to our current one.Defense wins chips..most won’t agree but fact is we are and continue to be offense loaded with a pieced together defense. We are repeating the same thing now..spend our money on offense and scrape together defense. Defense didn’t lose either the skins or the rams game the offense sputtered and hung the d out to dry(they were exhausted). We need to concentrate on complimentary football and taking time off clock, quick scores are great but not at the cost of setting our d up for failure.
Chan Gailey wasn't so bad.
People have said this sort of thing about dozens of quarterbacks. Athletes who care about things like that to the point that it impacts them on the field aren't really worth caring about. Hatcher didn't have any problem being wooed as a FA by the Commanders and said he was going to test the market in the middle of that season. He'd fly coach too (although I assume that on chartered planes that there isn't really much coach/commercial so I don't think that makes any sense anyway. It's not like they were flying United).I don't want to misquote because it could've been radio guys opinion but I heard a ex player speak on it. The Rams haven’t had a first round pick since 2016 lol. Teams make dumb decisions. I don’t blame Romo for not winning with Bernadeau and Livings but y’all use those guys as his crutch as if he has those guys his whole career. It was a few at best.

The 2011 game against the 9ers is all that really matters about whether Tony was enough of a leader or not.
Like Hatcher said, Dak is a guy you’d do anything for. He couldn’t stand Romo. Leadership matters. But it’s just one persons opinion. I never heard anyone speak positively about Romo leading.People have said this sort of thing about dozens of quarterbacks. It’s beside the point. Romo and the Cowboys had two chances to win prior to 2009…..You're comparing that to being out 15 picks in 2 years?? lol That's a back breaker and certainly not an excuse. It's flat out sad from a management standpoint. The Rams traded those picks and got veteran returns.
I get it. Romo was your childhood hero, but facts are the facts. Romo did have very good teams (13-3 team in 2007 w/franchise record 13 Pro Bowlers; 11-5 team in 2009 w/9 Pro Bowlers; 12-4 team in 2014 w/6 Pro Bowlers) around him.Cowboys talent gets overhyped every year, Carr, and Church are Jags, Heath is a special teamer, horrible safety. Your naming special teamers to state your case get out of here.
12-4 team in 2014. Yeah, what a bunch of JAGs.This list of defensive players is your case for why we should have won? That list is full of nothing but JAGs, injury prone "stars", head cases and special teamers. Even D Ware was typically a no show it mattered most. Horrible players. Horrible defenses.
Hey, Romo literally on his own choked the last game of the season losses in 2011 & 2013. Don't believe me? Go look at the highlights of each game on YouTube. Cowboys would have been in the playoffs both years had Romo played much better.Come on, man! This HAS to be satire. Please tell me you're not serious.
Oh, and. About the last game losses.... Remember how you, among others, pin Dak's loss to the Rams in the playoffs entirely on the defense for giving up all those rushing yards?
How many rushing yards did the defense give up in the 'win and your in' loss to the Skins, that you blame Romo for?
If they win it’s because of Romo. When they lost its because jags….unbelievable.12-4 team in 2014. Yeah, what a bunch of JAGs.
Ridiculous the extremes you Romofanatics go to to protect Romo. SMH
