There isn't a known answer. But when it comes to roster cuts, sometimes sacrifices are made in favor of potential upside. Always tough decisions.
Wilson can return punts, and Cobb has punt return experience (dunno if they want to expose him much there) with Pollard not having experience there and not taking any punt return reps in camp, it's likely to be Wilson/Cobb ..if there is no Tavon Austin or Reggie Davis.
but i'm believing the Cowboys want that speedy, open field , dangerous returner who can break field position open in a blink and take it to the house, a TD maker.
they really want to give special teams coach Keith O' Quinn that big help on this unit and that kind of breakaway player.
That tells me either Austin or Davis. And Jonvea Johnson, Guyton or Devin Smith are not returners.
Noah is not a returner either, and he doesn't offer big chunk run skills or legit over the top deep dimension either, but maybe they seem to like his other areas of special teams contribution
and dirty work blocking, plus they may still like the combination of his hands, quick feet and physical size and strength, even though he is still so underdeveloped and raw as a pure WR..
I still see the final WR unit look like this:
1 cooper
2 gallup
3 cobb
4 Wilson
5 Austin
6 Brown
as much as I've heard earlier how the team wants more pure speed, more over the top and open field chunk yard capability, we are not really going to have new additions, new look of speed
as I thought we would, anymore than what we were at last years WR unit other than Cobb.
