Anyone have an idea of how they are going split up the snaps for the qbs? A quarter for weeden, 2 for Vaughn and one for showers? Does that seem right?

I'd bet Weeden gets a full half this week and next. They've got a decision to make on him.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Weeden for the entire 1st half, or close to it. Then a quarter each for Vaughan and Showers.

I know you're probably kidding but there will be plenty that I will be excited to see. Hardy, Gregory, Lawrence, B Jones, White on defense. La'el Collins and Gus Johnson on offense.

Then there's a ton of guys like Gardner, Coleman, Bishop, Damien Wilson, etc. that I will be looking for.

I can not wait.

I hope fans keep in mind, preseason game 1, no game planning, only a few starters, and only for a short time. It's for players to knock off the rust, test coming back from injuries. rookies and 2nd and 3rd year players, on the bubble. Trying to avoid being churned.

no...we will get some ruing and we are in shambles posts tomorrow.......over evaluation, under evaluation....Mo is horrible, Mo looks good...Weeden sucks, Weeden looks decent....Gus Johnson will make us forget about Murray [well I really hope this one could be true].....there, that is tomorrow's recap of the threads and posts...LOL...

I will watch the entire game. I want to see how some of these players look. Ben Gardner, and of course Gus Johnson. Byron Jones and Corey White, where they line up, and how often, which will not be indicative for the season however. Randall Gregory, and what type of pass rush moves he has so far. And also Ryan Russell, how he does if at DE, DT or both.

As well as the OL, Collins, Gibson, Weems. Too bad we won't see Chaz Green. Also want to see all the young WR's signed battling for the 5th WR spot, and Whitehead on P & K returns.
Interested in Showers at QB, and how else he may be used.

I am ready. Going to keep busy all day as not to think about what time it is....LOL....

This is just one big tease and one reason why I hate preseason. It's like walking around town with the wife and you smell some great steak and walk by the window and see some guy eating a big ole steak and find out your having grilled cheese tomato soap.

This is why a 4 game preseason schedule is a complete and utter joke. The NFL only does this to milk more money out of ticket holders.

Last season we had a bunch of guys make the team who were not on the 90 roster,it will be interesting to see how guys outside the roster make the team this year.

This is why a 4 game preseason schedule is a complete and utter joke. The NFL only does this to milk more money out of ticket holders.

Would you rather do it like this, or make two of those games into regular season games and risk the injuries and ruin the record books?

The owners won't give back money. And neither would you if you had the choice.

I mean, there aren't a whole lot of free agents out there right now and the reports I've read on Vaughn has been less than stellar to poor. We can always wait for teams to make cuts but no guarantees that any will be an upgrade.

The decision is Weeden or any warm body roaming the waiver wire. He looks bad. Holds the ball way too long and doesn't put the ball on the receivers.

I realize they'll keep him, but if so, he needs a ton of work with the starting offensive line.

That's cool. To each their own.

Speaking for myself, I enjoy watching the defense as much as the offense. And, I really enjoy seeing rookies/young players for the first time. I love it when a young guy has a game like Patmon had last year against the Dolphins.

Sacks, INT's, TFL's... those things get me as excited as a long pass or run.

This entire preseason is about 3-4 roster spots.

Keep that in mind.

Anything more will be solely because of injuries.

Fourteen if you count practice squad.
