He's the best player in the draft..

With that said..

This was an awful awful pick.

We need contributors desperately on defense and we just spent a premium pick on a guy that may never play again.. We just couldn't help ourselves from getting cute.

I don't care what kind of inside info we had on this guy we shouldn't have touched him until the 6th round.

Absolute waste and that's what happens when a Billionare runs your draft.. No sense of value.

Disgusting.

I don't like this pick as of now, seems a wasted pick. But I will hold off judgement for now. See how the rest of the draft goes.
hoping in 2017 we can look back at this and say it was a great pick.
But for now, just don't like picking red shirt type guys this high.

Someone sell me on Jaylon over Jack. I'm scratching my head.

Jaylon will continue to get better as time goes on... Jack will continue to deteriorate as time goes on. Might be a worse pick for this year and next year... might pay dividends in the future.

Agreed, can't wait until Jerry is too senile to make picks, oh wait maybe he already is.

Um, billionaires become that way because they have a sense of value.

So if he becomes a perennial Pro Bowler (which he has the knowledge and talent to do) you will still hate this pick?

Yes because the value was as bad as it gets.

This was one of the biggest reaches in the history of the draft.

People said the same thing about Fredbeard, what do you think the Vikings would say if we offered to trade him for Sharrif Floyd (the guy everyone wanted) straight up? Think they would take it?

Pretty sure the team doctor told them Smith will play again....just needs adequate time to heal. Maybe the doctor is wrong. We will see...

I think he plays 2017.

The excitement I had for this draft is absolutely gone. I cannot believe they picked a guy that will not play this year. So I'm thinking next round they will probably draft another Tight End

Flabbergasted.

Someone needed to stop this selection from happening.

Impossibly horrific decision making.

How could this happen?

I don't get why you don't get jack here if this is the route your going. I think we reached

from what I am hearing Jack knee condition will get worse and worse each year until point he may need micro-fracture surgery. Smith knee can return to 100% with no residual effects. Surgeon said no reason Smith can't be elite for 10 years as long as nerve completely wakes up.

This would have been a reach in the late third / forth. Really disappointed with this pick.

Thing is your view isn't the worldview. No way, no how does Jaylon Smith last until the 4th round. NE was poised to take him in the 2nd round with their trove of picks.
